That looks and sounds waaay better! How do you like it compared to a 450? The 1st time you do a hard climbout with the 600 you will poop yourself.

Way better but still slow.lol... When you get a governor or limiter going you'll see.
Be nice if you could tach the head and get the head speed up to 2000-2100 RPM.

Troy it actually flies like my 450 just lots less power. I did some long climbouts at the park watchn the smoke trail. Had a main blade grip coming loose so I quit flying.
Yeah I need a tack, I'm was thinking it was fast. Also see in my vids the head speed floating around.

It's looking a lot better This is when I first set up my rev limiter with 100% flat throttle curve. It's about 1900 RPM

Your head speed is fluctuating because you need a rev limiter or governor. Might still be a little fat too.
I will be letting my AR7100R go cheap soon. I'll be keeping my back plate sensor and satellites so you'd need those.
I could ship it to you for $50 or so. It has a built in voltage regulator as well.

ewww i might take you up on that.
how does the rev limitier work. say you want 2100. do you set it to 2100 and it only keeps the rpm from going above that. would the satellite off my 6200 work on the 7100.
i was actualy planning to get the 7100r or 711or because i want the voltage regulator and . trying to keep eltronics to a minumum.
ohhh got another question i was flying today it was running pretty good then i landed and it idled for alittle bit then kinda sounded fat on the bottom as the idle kinda turned into ka ka chug kachug then died. im thinking i should lean the idle mixture a hair.
yeah might still be alittle fat . back plat still is way below hot to the touch
just noticed you set a 100 flat curve and the rev limiter was set at 1900. so the 7100r acts more like a gov then rev limiter?

No,it limits the RPM of the engine. It doesn't try to regulate it. You set the GEAR channel value to 85% or so and use a 100% flat throttle curve and if the RPM dips, the 100% curve will be ready to give it some throttle to compensate.
Almost like a governor but more consistent/faster response times. A governor maintains 1900 RPM at the head and a rev limiter limits the engine RPM's. A gov does the math to get RPM's of the engine in a good spot to get the head speed right. A rev limiter doesn't care what the head speed is. It just prevents the engine from over speeding.
Yes,any DSM2 satellite will work and you can use two satellites if you want.
You can lean the idle mixture but be aware that will lean the whole range so do some temp checks after some short flights.

Cool kinda makes since.
I started thinkn that because I've leaned the needle quite abit that maybe the idle is now lean

I could send him that governor and sensor you sent me Ern. For nothin... I'm not going to use it. But if I were going to use any kind of rpm manipulation device it would be a limiter not a governor.
I know glow throttle curves are linear and not that difficult to figure out, but if it were me, a tach would be my next purchase. Even a little Hangar 9 cheapy. I'll look around, I might have one I can send you. They aren't exact, but with a friend, that will get you in the ballpark. Figure out your curves first. That way after you install your limiter/gov, if you have some kind of limiter/gov related failure, you've got a back up plan at the flip of a switch.

Ev, there is prolly an app you can get for your droid, hover over your phone to get a tach reading.
