OK,,,here's the very first step in building a TREX 600 ESP!!! GET THE KIT!! Second step; OPEN THE KIT!!! Thats as far as I've gotten. I have an issue with my Genesis 450 PE and just installed the Co-Pilot II system on it. Give me about a week and I'll dive into this project! Stay tuned!! Randy

It's amazing that big heli comes in that little box. When I got my 500ESP kit I thought there had to be a mistake or a couple other boxes were missing.lol.....

No kidding MC, that box isn't much bigger than a 450 size one. I was even surprised how a whole 450 could fit inside the box that I got, but they are really good at packaging those things, just look at Tokyo, those asians know how to economize on space

LOL! The canopy takes up the whole box. Where did they put the rest of the parts?

OK,,,day one,,, I built the head assembly. Wasn't bad at all! The manual is basically pictures,,,but it is very detailed with notes in the right spots for glue, lube, locktite, measurments. Some parts came pre assembled like the flybar cage and see-saw, BUT,,,you have to take them apart, clean and locktite. All the CNC parts have machine oil on them. You NEED to use alcohol or some other cleaner on them. I found that most of the parts use 3mm holes and if you strip the cotton off a q-tip and soak it in alcohol, you can run it into/thru most the screw holes to clean them. All and all,,, this is quite easy. Took me 2 1/2 hours to assemble the complete head. But I was taking my time,,,really cleaning everything and measuring everything 3 times. I'm sure a guy could do it in 45 minutes easy. Everything went together great,,,everything fit great,,,,there is nothing cheesey about anything on this. It is rock-solid. Everything moves freely with no slop or binding. I'm super impressed on the quality. Thx Ernie for bumping Doozers thread up,,,it is quite accurate. I'm not going as nuts on the pictures as he did,,,but I'll keep everyone up to date. So far,,,I"M LOVING THIS!! Randy

I set the main shaft in place to assure the alignment is good. Other half in,,,can you tell the rotor is spinning? Very smooth. Got the front servos and linkages set. The manual shows the servo gear down, I liked this look better and I have better access to the wires. Just had to adjust the linkages to make it work. Just measure the servo gear hole to the linkage bellcrank pivot hole and make your linkages the same length. The only thing that didn't fit perfect was the frame bottom. Some of the plastic molding and flashing had to be cleaned up for a flush fit. I also used a buffing-pad on my dremel to buff off the entire frame edges/holes,,everything is very smooth now!!

Put together the boom and tail today! The tail and boom went to gether so easy a cave-man could do it! ;D The plastic tube is what the torque-tube came packaged in and you use it to install the torque-tube. Find the center of torque-tube and CA the inner bearing race to the torque-tube. Over that goes a bearing holder/big grommet,,,that you lube and use the plastic tube to push the bearing holder into the tail boom, that is the booms center support for the torque-tube. The boom is temp-installed, just setting in the frame,,I wanted to get the elevator servo installed before the boom to give me more room to hook-up and adjust the servo linkages. I'm on hold for a servo disc, should get it in the next day or two.
