Other than looking like a heart rate monitor it didn't show much! When I'm looking at buying games I like to see as much as possible, hopefully they give more details closer to the release date. It may just be me, but I have found the last 2 COD games (4 and World at War) to be a bit stale, short, and having no replay appeal. One game I just rented and played which was pretty fun and different was Killzone 2. IT was better than I expected after the first one and was actually a lot more challenging than COD games.

i agree kiwi, not much of a trailer. as far as the last two COD's go i still like modern warfare, IDK still don't really care for WAW. i've seen killzone 2 but never played that one. i'm stuck on tom clancy HAWX right now ;D

OK, here goes. COD 4 was a big hit with me after trogging thru and yawning alot being a Russian soldier in WW2. Being a British one didn't do much as I found the scenerios to be a little reputitious (sp) As for COD4, I found it had an actual objective and a diverse battlefield to work thru. Also adding the C-130 Spectre firing station was excellent. (a complete game should be put out on that alone) My opinion....
If the next release is anything like cod4 but different sandbox utilizations instead of the SAS theme.....(who ever heard of anyone named "soap"?) this could be good. I say this because of the change from 2, to 3, to 4 shows that activision has learned from the public. Also....phys-x should be an important multiplyer for graphics content. And we know of only one graphics company that ownes Phys-x.
A little winded...yes. But I take my fun serious. And I have just the machine and soundsystem set up to play. Thanks Fergie. Time to get on the release list> Beeeeeee

Its not going to be associated with COD anymore. Its just going to be called modern combat 2. Similar to COD4. Might even be better, because they are using the unreal engine. The COD series of games were made by 2 different makers. The original makers made the 1, 3rd, and WAW. Infinity Ward, (a 3rd party maker) made COD2, and 4. They wanted to use a better engine to run the game but the COD franchise wouldnt let them, so they are doing it without the COD name. If you search real hard you will find some game shots. It looks real good. Reminds me of GRAW.

Whity, that should be an improvement for realistics. I am kinda amped to see the result. Reguardless it will enter ownership on my behalf along w/ a 6 pak of bawls for the 1st weekend I have it. Got to feel the part!

Suppose to be released sometime this fall/winter. I really dont think its gonna be that realistic like GRAW, but more then COD4. More realistic weapon damage. I cant wait.

What I hate most about the new genre of shooter games is, they are more accommodating to NOOBS that like to run and gun. They want unlimited shields, ammo, lives, weapons, and not being hurt by anything. Most games are like that now. Its totally crap..... It does have its fun factor, but now its just plain old and boring. Even some of the so called realistic ones are noobish. (Killing someone across the entire map with a 9mm pistol, 1 shot) Time for some real 1st person shooter games. (GRAW, Rainbow 6 original) Its soo bad now that the game makers are putting patches out to get rid of the realistic parts of certain games. IE COD waw... the noobs complained so much they took the tanks out. Their main complaint was the tanks were to devastating. They didnt like being killed with 1 shot. Reality check!!!! a tank can kill you with 1 shot. Sorry about the rant, this subject makes me angry. ;D

i hear ya mighty, were's the fun in getting unlimited everything, i guess thats why i still like crysis & crysis warhead. they look awesome, the AI seems harder to kill, you can run n gun, or you can sneak around and pick them off one at a time. getting shot by tanks sucks, if i remember right in crysis, if you get shot directly by a tank, GAME OVER

+ 1 big one on Fergie. Mighty.....it use to be very interesting to get a game and go incognito for a couple of three days and immerse yourself into the action, or lack of at times. I like run and shoot, but only as part of the picture....not whole picture. Rainbow 6 is an excellent example.
Fergie, I've ordered the parts for a benchmarking machine to run some apps and games on. See what you think:
1.Gigabte GA-EX58-UDP4 Motherboard Intel 58 compliant 2. Intel Core i7-965 extreme 3. (2) cards..GV-N260C-896H-B GeForce GTX260's 4. 6 gigs OCZ Reaper DDR3-1800 PC3-14400 OCZ3RPR18002GKx3 5. 80 gig intel X25-M SSD 6. Antec True Power Quattro TPQ-1000 1000W Continuous ATX12V

Check this out and see what you think for benchmarking:
Ultra-x R.S.T Pro 3 (a little expensive) and QuickTech Pro Super P.I 3DMark06
The only reason I'm using the SSD is to improve benchmark score and see just how it works so I know. Afterwards it'll be back to a SATA (3gb) two HD system. Simple RAID 1.
I am thinking, SSD is gona be a between technology since they are already talking a 6gb thru-put on HD's. I think 1.5gb is the actual rate w/3gb bandwith. But 6gb is comming out. In otherwords, the industry isn't sold on SSD just yet. Cost verses gain. Of course most people want a computer to just work and be stable. (with storage and enough RAM to back up the proc.)

Oh......this has cost me a couple of future heli's and some parts. But if it sells in Albuquerque next month.....I'll get the two new heli's back and spare parts.
