Those incompitent basturds at my local garage have had my car for almost a month.Vallery Chevrolet.GM Certified. It went in with a stearing code. I was told $387 plus tax. They pulled the stearing column and changed that part. Now the effin morons say,,,,OH!!!the part we changed allowed us to read a code that wasn't there before. I was pissed of course.I told them to drop their tools and back away from the car. Later I decided since they have it,go ahead and fix it. Three weeks later they said OK we got it. OK.I'll come for it. I stop in and give them $1149.11 F*ck me to tears. My remote start doesn't work. I went in to tell them this and the idiot at the counter say's to me..."I doubt we did anything to affect the remote starter." I asked...."You changed my stearing from the horn button to the lug nuts and you don't think you affected my ignition swith? ?" No he said. I kicked his door open(litterally)turned my back on him and walked out. I drove a little while to calm myself and called back. "You are fixing my starter" I said. While I was on the phone,my brother(who was in the car with me)said...."Hey,your Service Airbag light is on". WTF? ?? I said,"Hey Mike, how about a code on the airbag????Your F#cking idiots have anything to do with that?!?!?" Yeah,he said.Maybe so."Bring it back and we'll look into it.But not until next Monday.I'm on vacation and would like to supervise the work." Maybe you should have supervised some of the original work I said. As of now,I'm looking for legal help. How do I get it rolling? Thanks ahead guys.

Those guys catch holy hell if you go to GM about it. They should have a district rep. Believe me, he can make their lives a living hell if you get him on your side. Sounds like a bunch of incompetents to me. I see them every day. A lot of guys who have the talent to work on this stuff are also smart enough to find and air conditioned office and a career without grease, blood and a broken down body. The rest are like me...too stupid to change Find their rep and make them do the right thing, make them do it when it is convenient for you and ask to review the first repair to see if it was even the right problem or if they threw parts at a computer code without actually troubleshooting it. Happens all the time and then they bill the customer for their incorrect diagnosis and for the real repair. If you are really feeling chapped and the above doesn't work, cancel payment and file a small claims court case. Kick'm in the

That's why GM, Chrysler, and Ford SUCK. These cars/trucks/autos are made by American workers in Detroit and Ohio which are UNION Controlled. (ie. We only do windows) Meanwhile, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Lexus are made by American workers that are NOT UNIONized in Kentucky and Tenn. I hate to say it, the UNION workers suck. And on top of that, we Americans are paying for their bailout because they make automobiles that suck. I had a Chrysler Mini-van and a GM Car. Every month, I'm in the auto dealer for fixing. Finall got rid of them for a very low resale value. Get a Honda Acura and you are in only for an oil/filter change. Both autos are made in the U.S.

Geeze Ern, I knew you had problems with the G6, but that's getting beyond ridiculous; it's absurd. Those are the kind of issues and service attitudes that you'd expect in the 70's and 80's GM eras. No wonder why GM is on the brink and Pontiac is going bye bye.
Good idea to get it resolved through a district rep if you can. I suggest you approach the general manager about the problem and request a meeting with him, the district rep and the service manager. They may or may not consent to a meeting, or cooperate in getting your issues taken care of, if they do have a meeting, but you've taken reasonable steps to resolve the problem before taking legal action. The court like this.
If nothing comes of your attempt to resolve your complaint at the dealership; you should file a suit in small claims court; it's usually cheap to file and you don't need to hire an attorney.
I think, considering the circumstances, you have a good chance to win in small claims court. Service departments have a habit of picking the pockets of consumers and perform needless repairs or are just plain incompetent and judges know this.
Happy landings
