I do too! Those are awesome looking blades and that canopy looks great, too! Yep, the Exi 450SE canopy is basic white plastic, but at least it does have a black windshield. Elk, you might have been looking at: 1. My Exi T450 came with a nice fiberglass canopy. 2. I bought a number of painted aftermarket fiberglass canopies for CHEAP a few months ago! I seem to remember like 6 bucks each. I still have a half dozen of those that I have taken pictures of on the helis. I gave all of my plastic canopies to BTcat. Those actually are perhaps more durable than the fiberglass, as I have destroyed two of the fiberglass ones already. These seem to just crumble in a crash, and become a pile of mushy fiberglass. === I was really interested in what the quality of the $40 CNC head/tail stuff looked like from Xheli? ?? === Kent

Mckrackin, are you old nuff to remember the 'visible man, or the visible woman' model? Those servos somehow remind me of those. They show their guts!
It's hard to tell how the Exi CNC stuff looks. That will need to be something that you let us know about. Kent

At least these servos are only showing their guts and not spilling them like the last one.lol...
I'm actually VERY impressed with the EXI head and tail. Better quality can't be had any cheaper. That's for sure.
Right now,I can't find the screws to attach the servo horns.Must have been in the stuff I let go with the 500.
The hunt continues...

Hey Ern, in a side-by-side, how do you think this CNC compares to the Align? I have yet to play with any Align CNC parts.

Side by side I'd say close. Of course Align edges out a little but they are close.

I actually carefully looked at a coworker's Align 450SE V2 and I agree with Mckrackin. They are close, but the Align has an edge, but not for the price!
The Align parts that I will always use from now on are: 1. All shafts (Exi/CopterX shafts are soft and can come pre-bent! This is the same with the 500.) 2. Gears (Align gears are truer and the Exi/CopterX sometimes come pre-warped! This is much worse on the 500.) 3. Flybar rods (Exi/CopterX rods are soft. This is worse on the 500.) 4. Tail blades (The Exi/CopterX blades can be way out of true and balance. This is not as bad on the 500.)
The Align 500 head (I found an ESP pull on Ebay) is considerably smoother than the Exi. This difference is greater than the 450 difference. It also has less slop. The slop is almost all in the washout base, which is a cheap Align part. That will fix the slop in the Exi 500 head. It's not terrible slop, it's just there. Kent
