So what would happen if you left it that way and reversed the servo?

Won't work.I've tried.
It sounds like it should.My belt was even backwards so the blades spun backwards.
I reversed the servo and tried and tried to dial it in.No luck.
Reversed the belt and blades back to normal and BAM,the tail was solid again.
