Hey Dave, Do you have a fire extinguisher in that room? Amazing how fast the smoke comes out My Zippys will puff some when warm and then go down. My Hyperion puffed and stayed puffed after a flight on a hot day. I suspect the Zippys might just have trapped air The Hyperion has an issue. I'm pretty sure it is permanent damage. All of them work and charge fine. I had a 2 cell 1000mah for my HBFP puff due to me not watching the clock and running it way low. It immediately showed damage when I checked voltage. One cell would not charge. These lipos have weird, inconsistent characteristics. I think I'll go buy a fire extinguisher. ;D

Hey Dave, wait until you try that on a 5000ma 6s Lipo!!!!! It doesn't puff the battery at all. The battery doesn't care!
It goes BOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! and pieces of molten connector material go flying. I can't believe the ESC survived! After a new connector, the battery hardly needed any topping off!
Ask me how I know that..... EXACTLY the same reason as your mishap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh... Kent

The the most dangerous hobby material I touch when I'm having a few is glue...And I've regretted that more than once. ;D
Anybody that hasn't soldered the negative to the positive at least once hasn't soldered much at all. ;D
When I was converting over to Deans I think I soldered at least 2 male connectors to the batteries before I woke up. ;D
Happy landings

You guys are starting to scare me now. I can concur with 19k and glue. It doesn't matter what I try to CA, my fingers are much better attached to each other than any project I'm working on. And yes, I have had a few electrical faux pas (that's for BT and his recent venture into the French vocab). I have one AR6100 and one 3 in 1 where reversed polarity caused that recognizable burnt electronics smell. Well, what'dya expect when my fingers are CA'd together? ;D
