Well, I was thinking about my Hughes 500D fuselage for my 450 that carries Tows. Tows are anti-tank with a laser designator. Real Hughes helis like this are the Tow Defenders, which my scale fuse is.

Well, I figure the functional laser part is far too hard to even emulate, but if I aimed at a scale tank with one of my 'rockets', I could do a number on it, IF I could hit it! Chances are 1 in 50 to hit a perfectly placed target about 100 to 150 feet away, I think.
I really just thought that a report at the end of what would normally be a mundane rocket shot would be cool, so that's what I was after! It's actually technically not a rocket, but a mortar shot. The payload inside the tube is a small one (1/2") with a green composition as the 'fuse', to emulate a rocket's burn. After it burns out, the payload (pop) goes off. From 50' up, I think it will go off in the air, still. I will need to debug that.
My other hobby is pyrotechnics, obviously, and I live outside of any city. I am a member of the PGI (Pyrotechnics Guild International) and I have worked lots of major shows around here!

I'm glad you're a pro. Me, I'd be getting into soooooo much trouble with that thing.
The last rocket I launched almost burnt a grocery store down. Of course I was just a kid. Yep, nothing's changed. ;D

It doesn't take a Psychologist to tell who the crazies are around here. Curing them is another matter all together sol. BTW BT, Pyromania isn't quite the same as Pyrotechnics. Pyrotechnicians insist on blowing things up first before they burn down. So, Pyromaniacs are missing half the fun. ;D Happy landings |
