Been getting dark mighty early around here, so here is my first test flight of my 450 night flight setup.

No, it wasn't too bad. I was flying out in front of my house, and there are lots of trees, so I had to be careful. I might end up putting some extra light or glow in the dark stickers on the front canopy so I can see that better.
Like Elk said, it is a blast doing the night flying. I just love the look of it. My wife said it looked like a Christmas UFO. I've got the cheapo G401B on it right now, so I'm just taking it easy and flying around now. I would hate to crash when it was dark and break all of the night flight gear and not be able to find anything else that flies away, I have a hard enough time finding that shit when the sun is out.
Anyways, I'm just glad that I can now fly when I get home from work, because it's been dark ever since daylight savings. Might end up getting some more night flight gear for the other helis, but not finding much for the 250, might have to put together a DIY setup like they have over at HF.com.

Watch them there trees....they will eat a heli in a second. Look forward to more vids of the night life of your heli.

Yeah, now if it would only stop raining here. I need to put together some sort of rain flying setup. A rain-night-flight. There's got to be a good way to protect all of the electronics from the rain...hmmm

Some more vids from last night.
I need to get a better camera for these flights, the mini one I have just doesn't cut it.
Pardon the language of my camera man, he get's excited...
Next we're going to put together some armor for him, so I can pass really close and not kill him.
