Would it be safe to solder back on the balancing wire on my g2s lipo battery? It came unsoldered.

As long as you didn't arch or just run a lot of heat up your wire (use solder with a low melting point, like very thin 60/40) you should be fine. How far from the plug is the break? Is it right at the battery? If so, is it close to any other exposed wires or contacts? That would make it tricky, but I know others have repaired wires within the heatshrink before.

The g2s battery has a circuit board I think at the end of it, it came unsoldered right at that board where all the other contacts are. I soldered it before but didnt think to much about the danger.

Two things: 1) Be careful not to short it to another lead. I did that and it blew the tip off my soldering iron. 2) Try to solder it as quickly as possible to keep from damaging the cell by excessive heat. I did that, as well, the second time I repaired the broken lead.

I soldered the balancing wire back on, the g2 is back in business. Good going R/C I just want to about how they use those wires for balance leads. They can only be bent "X" times before they break and in every case that's happenend to me it was on an otherwise perfect battery. OK Dave, here goes GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ;D

I think I might just retire the battery and buy a new one for $15. Is it safe to still use a lipo that has puffed alittle? After flying today it puffed a little, I put it in my lipo safe bag and put it out in the garage. After in hour I checked it and the puffiness was gone.

That depends on the puff. Some times a pack will puff a little from air trapped in wrapping. In that case it will be only warm. If a pack is getting hot then the puffing is more likely a chemical breakdown of a cell.
It sounds like this is a new condition with this pack so I would think that the cell is breaking down. I wouldn't use that pack anymore. When a cell goes it can cause a fire. You don't want to burn up your G2. Take the pack to a battery recycler if you can.

I better not risk using it anymore. It puffed up on the flight before this one too, but I though it might of just been trapped air like you said.

Holy Crap! I'm so sorry for your loss - especially your pets. That's so terrible. I'm ordering three lipo safe bags right now. I have a wife and two dogs that I love dearly. Man, I had no idea. That wasnt me, it was someone else. I just dont want the same thing happen to me as this guy. Ive known the danger of lipos but never have tooken extra safety precautions like putting them in a fireproof box. me either but i have had at least enough sence to place them in a steal pot just incase so the flames will mainly stay in a smaller area.
