You're right, 19k. the 35-30 is 35mm by 30mm long. The 35-36 is (you guessed it) 35mm x 36mm long. Probably have to shim it 6mm.

Well that's not too bad. I think it's worth it to use that nice motor mount, and it's easier than having to make a mount yourself.
Take a close look at the firewall. They use an adhesive to hold it and the servos in place that's more like a silcone than a real glue. You might want to pry the firewall out a bit and use some gorilla glue for a more pemanent bond. I pulled the servos and glued them also.
Happy landings

I'll probably work on it some more today. The power has been off at my house for the last day. Sucks, cause I had yesterday off and was going to do some beef up stuff while the weather was bad. I bet I can make up for it today.
I'm going to work a little to strengthen around the battery box and apply some tape in the areas you mentioned. I also wondered about that weak area between the servos and tail. I have some 1/2 wide CF flat stock I could put inside there, but I don't know if that would help or not.
I need some flying weather or else I'll keep tinkering with this thing until it won't fly at all ;D

The only weak spot I can think of in that area is right where the fuse and tail section meet. When mine broke there I used a couple of heavy duty toothpicks stuck throught the break and some gorilla glue. It never broke again. I wouldn't worry about it breaking the fuse though, but if you want to prevent it: Running a strip of CF on each side and the top and bottom of the fuse should prevent it. Wrapping the wing at the dihedral breaks with packing tape will really help if you crash wing in and is a must for high G aerobatics unless you use CF or fiberglass spars through there. Since you're weathered in with nothing to do: I also added packing tape on the top of the fuse opening at the areas the leading and trailing edges of the wing rests. Those areas tend to wear over time if not reinforced. Use some really strong rubber bands to secure the wing both criscrossed and parallel with the fuse. Those flimsy looking wing struts are functional. You'll notice they stretch after awhile. The rubber bands stretch out after awhile too so you'll want to look at replacing the struts and bands every 20-30 flights. Hope your power is back on, the weather's better and you can do some flying. Happy landings

I havent been keeping up with this thread. But if your going to be flying with the stock electronics make sure you fly with ACT(anti crash technology) off. Before I got my super cub I researched it over at rcgroups (over 10,000 page thread just about the super cub) and 9 out of every 10 people said that act caused them to crash more than it saved them because it gets confused easy.

That's great advice r/c. The ACT technology doesn't work except in ideal conditions...Sometimes. I took the wire cutters to it the first time my wife crashed it with it on.
Happy landings

Well, The SC came off the ground today. I put the 2.5 in wheels on and wanted to see how it rolled. I rolled it around in the garage and got it to track straight. BUT I wasn't content with that. I put it on the grass in the back yard and gave it a little throttle. Cool. So I did it again until it got light and the tail came up. More Cool. So I did it again and got it about 6 feet up. My yard is only about 60 ft wide and I was only using about 40 of that, but it came off the ground easily in that distance. Now for just one day without wind ;D

BTW, anyone that is using the Dubro skis and wants a way to beef them up let me know. Happy landings
