Nice down here too. Went for a quick fly this AM and I'm headed back out again now. It's supposed to be as nice or nicer tomorrow.

The Corsair shimmies around a bit, but is very flyable. This afternoon I took the P51 off, and for the 3rd time out of a couple hundred flights, the motor quit and it went in nose first. I thought the others were brown outs. And, they might have been. This time the 6100 wasn't flashing though, so it wasn't a brown out. I think it's the ESC. I've got a new one. Amazingly, the spinner cone didn't even break. Just a chip in the cowling. The wing popped off at the back. I had a light coat of GG on the wing and it seperated, and the hatch split ahead of the canopy. All that has been fixed. It's not ready for any closeups though. This plane has definitely seen better days. 5 crashes now. The fuse has been guled back together in 5 or 6 places and the vertical stab has been snapped off and repaired and both side of the horizontal stab have been broken and repaired along with the elevator; twice. One of the ailerons was busted and the leading edges of the wing is dented and wrinkled. OOPS! This is a weather thread. It was beautiful.

I found that this site is great for showing the weather and wind trends and how it relates to aviation related endeavors: www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/code.cgiJust select you state and region and you'll get a cool little drawing that shows what you should be expecting over the next few days.

damn, I am not going to fly today! We've got heavy rain and steady winds of 30mph with gusts of 50mph. Almost want to try and get a plank up there just for the hilarious video of me trying to fly it and crashing it. Wow, I hope these spring showers go away soon.
