Remember, If you are going to attach weights to change your center of gravity, Make Sure To Attach Them WELL! If you are going to screw up, at least let the world get a laugh out of it...
Those where two pretty loops right before the crash. And I thought these things couldn't do that with a stock wing ;D

My guess is that all of those loops were on purpose and that your SC really landed perfectly. Kent

I guess the next thing is to set up a poll for the answers... ...or let Dube do it. ;D

You know, I think I count 3 loops. I can't see me in the video, but you might detect a faint, fowl odor as I @#my pants trying to get control

Well, I've done a dozen loops in a row with the stock wing...On purpose ;D If you swap the rudder servo arm for the elevator servo arm (the rudder horn is longer) you'll get more throw out of the elevator and you can do very tight loops. Turning is not a problem because even with the shorter servo arm from the elevator on the rudder servo there is still plenty of throw on the rudder.

how did it hold up in the crash? were you trying to do the loops? if you had a problem with that you might want to stay away from ailarons for a while. but any who, it was fun right.
thanks sol, no more polls for me, unless i'm sitting a a strip joint watching a striper ;D

Monday was a calm day, but I didn't plan for it. So I got the SC loaded up with a fresh battery and went to a new field. It was the first time I really got to check out the setup with the Futaba and the Brushless. I had balanced it about a week or two ago. Thing was, I was really nose heavy. Instead of removing one of the weights, I taped a pretty heavy weight to the cover under the fuselage that covers the opening for the push rods. It wasn't meant to fly like that. Just to get an idea of how much I should take out of the front. I did all of that temporary balancing in a spare 5 minutes and then went on to play with other things. Forgot all about it. When that tape apparently came loose and that weight (and cover) came off the plane, That thing headed straight down. That is about the time I cued the video above. I had just adjusted the rates on my rudder and elevator and was testing that. The controls were still too sensitive on elevator and it seemed like it was either straight up or straight down. I gunned it and fought it until it crashed. Clipped a tree on the way down. Damage: Broken tail on the fuse--easy fix with hot glue and a couple of pieces of CF. Broken elevator. Broken stock struts (sneeze and they will break). Bent spinner shaft and loose firewall. ~$15 total I think. Guys, with all the crap I have going on right now and with hands that tend not to cooperate, I almost stuck it all on ebay Monday night. Last year this would have been easy. Now, at 46 (almost 47 years old) I feel like a 90 year old man out there (no offense, Sol & Dave ;D) Its either laugh or cry, so I will laugh this time

I'm with Dube on this one, BT. We won't let you "put it all on eBay". Not a chance in hell. Besides, who's gonna be the resident linguist and more to the point, who else would put up with my BS banter? ...well, other than Dube. Who's a Taurus?

Oh that sucks BT! I hit myself on the forehead when things like that happen. I've done it all - including using packaging tape to reattach an aileron to my T-28. Sometimes the excitement of just wanting to fly blinds us from our preflight checks.
Oh well, they're just toys. When that happens to me, I just set the plane or heli aside for a while until the spark comes back. It does wonders.
