Love the instructions, "weld it on to the esc." Would that weld be with a butane torch or arc welder? ;D

It's just a capacitor type thing that holds a charge. It stops the "Spark" when you connect your lipo.

Or an MOV. (Metal Oxide Varistor, often used in power strips and other gear to suppress voltage spikes, yessir.)
A cap is dirt cheap. But this welding stuff tends to worry me, I mean are we talking stick? TIG? What? Could I sweat it with MAPP?
The mind boggles.... ;D

Sorry, Coff, my sarcasm was showing. I get a royal kick out of these silly translations!

what i cant figure out is how the heck does it put out the fire? and if your heli is on fire that usually means well ya probably crashed way to hard to begin with, so a firey death would just make the crash worth it lol

Yes soldering/brazing is not welding it also slays me when I see a movie some guy lights up a acetylene torch and has on and arc welding helmet what the hell for?? worried about arc flash from a gas torch? hey i wear my helmet sometimes when i cut with a torch, for two reasons to protect my eyes from splatter, and also the intense light can hurt your eyes. The reason I said that was they have a full face cutting shield for that shade 2 to 5 ,,welding helmets are for arc welding and are at least a shade 10 to 15 the light given off by a torch can strain your eyes but does not permanently damage them the wave length of the light is not strong enough sun glass would be more than enough protection. Welding is different the arc flash can damage your sight ( damage the retina) with one arc flash the ultraviolet light being one of the most intense and the worse, use the right tool for the right job I know I have been a welder for 40 years and a certified welder for at least 30 yrs.
