Just wanted to share the latest mod I had made to the G2. Them deans connect can be a bugger sometimes to disconnect. As many of you know and for those of you that don't I work at a place that repairs and overhauls aircraft parts in Memphis. We also have an avionics shop located in the building and I asked one of the guys in there the other day if he could come up with something to replace the deans. He said to bring it in and he would take a look at it and see what he could come up with. Well I went by there today to see what the progress was on the change and he said he had finished and with that he went and got it and when he came back I thought I would faint. See below and you will see why. What the heck does this jackass think this thing is a 747. Dave

You know guys I am starting to have second thoughts about this mod. At first I thought this guy has killed my brand new G2, but after a few days with it I am really starting to like it. I mean no more fighting with those deans, snap and the two parts are together and snap and they are apart. It may look a little funny on a 400 size heli but it really works and as far as the weight, yea it is a little on the heavy side what with all the new wires and the connectors themself but it has not kept the G2 on the ground yet and that is with a stock brushed motor. I think when I put the brushless in I will not even know the weight is there. Bet this would be a great mod for a 500 or 600 size heli like Ernie or Elk has. Oh thats right I forgot Ernie sold his. Anyways for one like Elk has, Elk you should consider this mod. Bet if you sent your receiver to me I could get this guy to hook you up with this mod, man it is one sweet mod. May have to get with RTF and see if he would like to sale them on his site for the Walkera 36 and the G2.
Well gota get out of here for a little guys got to go to work and put in a little overtime (heli money ;D) if any of you are interested in have this mod let me know and I will talk with the guy I work with and see what he says.

Can only imagine what the mod on a 600 would look like!!LOL,,it would take two men and a boy to hook it up!! ;D I'm telling you Elk it ain't that bad of a mod. and I think the guy said he would like to try it with some of those fiber optic cables the next time. He said that the weight would be reduced a great deal with those because there would be less wires in the bundle as he could get more than one signal per wire, or what ever you would call it and the best thing about this mod has not cost me a single penny yet. He has supplied all the material and labor for free......what a deal and I think if you wanted it Elk I could talk him into put'n one together for you free also. This guy likes to tinker and he is good with this stuff. Almost forgot he said with the fiber optics the size of the connectors would be reduced a great deal as there would be less wires in the bundle. Tell you what I will put a vid up sometime this weekend for your review on the one he did for me maybe that will help with your decision. I know you like to try new stuff and all and to be honest you were the first one I thought of after he modified mine and I got to like'n it. Dave
