Blew it to pieces today doing some 3D. I'm done with heli's: Scorpion HK-1800 motor - $50 Hobbywing 80amp ESC - $50 DS510 Servo's (3) - $50 Futaba S927 servo with broken casing (top part - can be replaced for cheap) Completely destroyed heli with usable tail, frame, main gear, etc.: My gift to you. All spare parts: $50 Everything for $200 The only catch, is I'm not feeling like taking it apart right now, so if you buy everything all together, I'd be a happy man.

Hi Gabe, sorry to hear. I was wondering if you had pictures of it. I have been wanting to build a 500. So maybe this would be a good start for me.

Got your PM, Shakey. Here's some pics and a full damage/inventory report: I have all the spare parts to rebuild this bad boy. It looks a lot worse than it is. All the servos are stripped, but you can buy the kits to repair them at Amain Hobbies online. They're about $10-$12 each. The Futaba S9257 tail servo is stripped as well, and the casing where the bolts attach it to the boom is cracked. I'm sure you can order a replacement top half of the casing for cheap. The servo repair kit is another $10-$15 as well. I have some leftover gears for all of the servos and you may get lucky and be able to use the gears I have (they're from previous kits, but they aren't complete kits). These are the items you will need to fix this puppy (beyond what I will send you): -Main blades -Tail blades -Tail shaft -Horizontal stabilizer -Three Align DS520 servo repair kits -One Futaba S9257 servo repair kit -White grease for the servo repair kits -Blade grip links The crash severed the ball links on the see saw that attach to the blade grip links. If you have a tap and die you can drill out the pieces or you can just order a new see saw. Its and easy fix. S9527 Cracked case Close up of the see saw with sheared ball link So basically, she needs a damp wash cloth and some TLC. Pull the boom and tail off, pull the rotor head off, replace the skids and fix the servos and you're in business. There's a full day's work involved and I want no part in it. Finally, you'll need batteries. I'm using Turnigy 2650 20C batteries. I'd include them, but I'm also using them for my Darkside Stryker.

She would have said, my wonderful Ray, you just go ahead and buy it hunny . Thinking under her breath: I will get what I want later hehe. Guess I am going to join the 500 club now. How sweet. Mo money . Now maybe I will see what all the hype is about the bigger heli's. Hear they are a lot more stable in the wind. I really hope so. Hard to get calm days here in Iowa. Will be a good project for me again, and should be a lot easier working on it.

Sorry Kent if your mad at me for buying it. I have been wanting to get a 500 for a long time, just didn't want to buy every thing new. Guess this was my chance to get started.
I'm still sorry Gabe is calling it quits, he will be back after a while when he gets the erg again I hope. I have found helis to be very frustrating at times also. Build #3 coming soon.

LMAO I don't know if I would call it a steal. It don't fly and I have many hours of rebuilding to do. I'll bet you didn't even clean the dirt off hehe. Maybe for the 1st time in my life, I'm getting a good deal, insted of being bent over like most of the time. Maybe some day my luck will change.
