I have been thinking about getting a plane again for something new. I was wondering what I should get for my 1st one. I am looking for something that is inexpensive and very durable. Something I can crash and pick it up and fly it again. I saw someone on here a while back had made one that you could do just that. So I am open to suggestions as to what to buy or build. Since I have a little park, I would need something I can toss to take off with and land in the grass without damage, if possible.

Hi shakey, If you look back in this thread you'll find a EPP foam Yak that akent posted. This is a durable slow flyer and a good place to start. If you don't want to build something and want something fun and durable get a Hobbyzone Champ. It's small and has plenty of power. RTF is very reasonable. It's a good place to reacquaint yourself with planes. Have fun. secure.hobbyzone.com/HBZ4900.html

Yup, those are both excellent beginner planes!
There's also the three channel micros that Parkzone makes. The Ember and the Vapor. They are very slow and the Vapor can be flown indoors and at night. Its only a three channel so its just elevator and rudder, no ailerons. But its a good way to get your orientation without breaking the bank. And yes, you can crash it in the grass and keep tossing it.

Thanks guys, I remember reading that one and really am thinking of trying the build for fun. I couldn't remember which one it was, thanks. I am going to build one soon so I will check all 4 of them out. Might as well have a plank also.
