Bored huh? You could probably get that LiPo to explode by overcharging it. Lot's of juice though a remote cable system. Far from growing things and structures. In a 50 gallon drum of water. You might want to build a little bunker for yourself and use protective eyewear. I envision a foot round column of fire 10,000 feet high. Oh, yeahhhhhhhhhhhh. And, then the cops, fire department and UFOligists would show up looking for little gray men. That ought to be good for an extra week or so of entertainment.

Speaking of UFOligists Im thinking about making a foamie that will hover and have lights on it then fly it around at night near Area 51. That should get someones attention.
And then I could strap the lipo to it and have it explode in midair. Like some kind of alien explosion.

If you google lipo battery explosion and check out the videos there's a few. The batteries smoke, then eventually turn into a massive fireball. If I remember right, didn't someone lose their house recently to an overcharged lipo? I think it was on a different forum but we had a link here to it.
I'd say be sure it's in the middle of a large concrete or asphalt area (like a parking lot) and ensure that there are no potentially flammable materials around.
Just my two cents.

Thats the problem I don't have any place like a parking lot around here. I live out in the sticks where all we have are hay fields. I might just take it to Radioshack this Friday and be done with it.

Yep, get rid of it responsibly and your conscience is clear.

I used to take mine to Best Buy. I'd just clip the dean's off (carefully - one lead at a time) and then put electrical tape over each lead so it wouldn't explode.

I'll see if Radio Shack can take it. I really want to get rid of it though.
I had a dream last night that one of my lipo batteries exploded and it wasn't the one that was puffed. It split in two and then I was like oh crap its gonna explode so I ran out of the house and chucked it as hard as I could away from the house and then I remember it sparking and smoking.
I have two that are puffed, I think they just weren't capable of producing the power that the electronics were trying to take. They weren't involved in any kind of crash and they been this way for over a month with no sign of more puffing. But I look at it this way why take a chance on a $20 battery?
