Early this morning I think I bought the 7100r from mck. I may have been dreaming.

You can plug the cap anywhere, but it will work best plugged directly in to the receiver.
Yes, these are good insurance for high powered and/or lots of servos.
I always jam the sticks with new builds now. The only one that would brown out was the 600. Those big Align servos are power hogs... Kent

Wouldn't this be a good thing to install on any application with digital servos or a lot of analogs? Wouldn't it kind of take the place of an external BEC as long as the ESC was up to the task? It doesn't matter about the ESC or external BEC as to whether the receiver can brown out with high powered servos. You could be running a Castle 10 amp BEC and still have brownouts with a system drawing half of that from the BEC. It's all about the voltage drop when you have a lot of power needed to the servos. If you jam all the sticks, the servos will suck a lot of surge power, and the wires from the battery/BEC/ESC sometimes will not be able to keep up. There can be a sudden voltage drop that lasts a few milliseconds, just long enough to reset the receiver. The cap steps in during that short time and provides the power to fill the voltage gap right at the receiver. BEC's with strong surge capability and larger wires will work much better. But how do you know? They don't rate these things like that. I hooked my scope up to the power leads in my 600. You could easily see a huge drop that lasted 5 to 10 milliseconds. I am running a Turnigy 7.5 amp (10 amp burst) BEC. I also tried the stock Castle ICE 100 internal BEC and it was even worse. Kent

it appears the cc bec pro 20amp fixed my problem. i plugged it in to the castl link and set it at 6volts.
both power leads are plugged into the reciever. that leaves an empy spot for the gov but i think im not going to fly a gove for awhile . im not liking the eltronics piling up on this thing and will soon switch to 7100r with derict from lipo power later on. and at this point i dont think ill benifet much from a gov.
heres the vid shortly of the castl bec powering the servos
