I will be getting just that ;D Raja has finished my Jewel Generator and it's in the mail. Weight: 3.7oz as seen not including mount RPMs: 4000 to 18000 Output: 5 volts at idle, typically 14 to 18 volts in flight (unregulated). Motor Capability: About 70 watts Rectifier: Up to 10amps at 25 volts. Regulator: 5.4v out, 3 amps continuous, 5 amps for 5 minutes. Charging current decreases to 0 amps when battery reaches 5.4v. Can be modified to supply additional output of 11.4v for AP rigs. Alternate output voltages of 6.9v, 8.4v and 12.6v also available. Will only be limited by the starter and radio battery life so 200 flights is possible. The heli itself will never need another battery charged and can actually fly without a battery at all once airborne. It will need a battery to start my V Bar and Switchglo Pro but once in the air,the generator will keep the NiMH battery topped off and power all the electronics even in hard 3D. Attachments:

I thought about the Jewel when I was building my gasser, but I get four hours out of a pack and I was trying to keep it cheap. I don't mind charging every four hours too much. Of course I don't toss it around... just flying casual on low voltage. Now if they could figure out how to make my starter, and tx never need another charge.... Cool looking system

I get 150-200 flights from my starter and no idea yet on my radio....Several days and I can just plug it in over night. No biggie there.

Starting that 30cc engine on my Pitts takes it's toll. I drain the battery a lot quicker now. I have a poor habit of leaving my tx on. I've had to replace the battery. The never ending power supply tx would be good for me.

LOL. Your heli with the actual mount looked like it was skidlesd. How did the build go? It's finished but I skimped on some cheap eBay blades and they suck bad...hard to control through the vibrations and it looks like an X Wing Fighter.lol.... Everything is working good though. I staked it down and spooled it up with no blades so I could unplug the RX battery and I still had complete control of the heli with no battery.
