Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, I have many school projects in the works and mid-terms that I'm studying for, though, I have made time to make some changes to the Reactor that I will be posting relatively soon in the Reactor thread.
I've installed the X8R and the servo decoder in the Reactor, and everything works, It's just that there is a difference in end points between the two elevator servos. I can change end points in the radio, but that changes the speed of the throw. I can slow the servo down in the radio, but I'm not so sure that I don't have a servo going bad. So I've ordered 3 Hitec HS 5625's and I'm waiting on them before I put the Reactor back in the air. Spring break is coming up the week after next, and I'm hoping to fly at that point. When that happens, I'll post the complete mod, start to finish, including some flight video and shots of the telemetry screen in action.

Hi all, I've flown the Reactor twice already, though today was a little hairy because it's extremely windy and it was a crosswind... I suck at crosswind landings. However, I don't have any video because my camera man has been MIA. I'm looking into a Go Pro Hero with a head mount, but that will have to wait. Maybe in a week or so. I've asked Santa.
So I made a video walking through the Reactor's EEPROM (Tx programming) and a live video in my driveway where I could keep the plane stationary as I moved the throttle through it's curve. Fair warning: This video is close to 19 minutes long. The EEPROM portion is first and about 15 of those minutes (read: if you want to skip that part, fast forward to 15:19). I didn't really cover anything new, but I did explain why I did or didn't do some things. I suggest that if you want to watch this video straight through, put your Thanksgiving turkey in now... at the very least, mix yourself a drink and bring the bottle.

Open TX 2.0 released in June. New look Companion, New Firmware upgrade. I haven't upgraded yet. I'll post more when I do. Also, Scott Paige has new videos up for 2.0 with some cool stuff for those of you that like to get the most out of your radios. There's also an Open Tx University started.
I am considering the New Tarannis. Looks like a Graupner or Jeti.

This is a video made by Scott Page that introduces the Open TX Companion 2.0 and the Open Tx firmware: I didn't see it addressed in the video, but if you are upgrading from 1.52 (latest version of the firmware before 2.0) you'll need to do so with the Tx turned off, but plugged into the USB port. I think he mentioned something about not needing to do that with 2.0, but you aren't running 2.0 until you upgrade to it (hopefully that made sense). Don't worry, you wont lose your data/setups by upgrading the firmware. There are some nifty common sense changes that look to make the learning curve even less steep than it is already. I'm not going to reinvent the wheel here, you can go to Scott's YouTube page for his other videos. All you need to do is click on the YouTube icon in the screen above and it will take you to that page. Wanted to add the Open Tx University link. I'll continue to add things here as long as it's not specifically addressed there i.e. my personal settings, flight videos. open-txu.org/ Episode 2 of Open Tx and Beyond. Scott explains the true power of the radio. I Guarantee you wont get that out of a radio that costs you 3 times as much. Right now this radio is $175.

New Scot Page Open Tx and beyond video. Even if you don't use mixes, he explains functionality that can be used for other reasons.

I didn't go into how to change things in Open TX Companion. This is just my set up. One thing I failed to mention, is to make sure that you test your set up in the simulator. This radio is not a mind reader and if for some reason you have the wrong source for a switch function, you'll find out in the sim before you find out for real (Ask me how I know).
Anyway, here's the set up:
