Sorry I didnt get back sooner That is too bad but I have had a lot of trouble with the stock battery they sell with the BS. There are some places selling a 1250mah 10C that will slide into the battery holder ( Helipal). I found a real nice 1250 15C battery from all-battery.com but they quit making it. They do make a 1100 15C but you have to make a different battery holder there a MM to wide but that extra 5C makes a big difference. And the batteries seem to last longer. Ray

Ray Are there any LiPo's at HobbyCity that'll work with the BS? They have a great selection and prices are the best anywhere.

You know I will have to check on that, the one's that come's with the blazing star goes bad quickly. My very first one lasted about a total of one hour. But A good quality battery will weigh less for the same dimension and then sometimes you can goto a higher MAH for the same weight as stock. Ray

I'm sure most other etailers do the same thing, but HobbyCity lists the dimensions as well as the weight of each battery. A nice touch when you're looking for an odd size or a specific weight.
The general listings show the shipping weight, but the individual battery pages show the net weight.

www.hobbycity.com has decent priced LIPO batteries. The Rhino series have high discharge rates that are great for brushless applications. The only thing I didn't like is that they have Dean's connectors as opposed to the JST connectors. -Happy Flying !!!

They require a higher amp draw but in the long run are much more efficient and your battery life is usually a bit longer. So you just need to bump up to a higher C battery or if the electronics can take it jump up the voltage to a 11.1 then the amps go down. Ray

I'm waiting on a 11.1 1500 15C from hobby king/city. I'll let you all know what I think of the quality. It's a Rhino and very inexpensive; 17 bucks. I was ordering a towerpro brushless set up for my new 3D plane, also very cheap, and thought, what the heck, may as well give the 1500 lipo a whirl too.

I've posted this elsewhere, but a good rule of thumb on charge time is to turn the chargre rate into a whole number, reduce the mAh by 1000 and then divide the charge rate into the MAh and you'll get charge time in hours and tenths of hours.
