Charged the little thumbprint size 1200mah battery and took the G2 out for a test. The guy I bought it from said it wouldn't fly and he didn't have time to mess with it. Well,,,,,long story short,,,,it flys fine. The trims were way off but it hovered well enough to adjust them in flight. Got a tail wag.I'm a little rusty.More gyro gain or less? But anywho,I took to it like a duck to water. The plan was to strip it for the electronics to finish the 3DX. On second thought,I think I'll buy new for the new and leave well enough alone.I always liked the G2.Kinda nice to have another one in the stable ;D Also recieved the CPD4 Co-Pilot today.I don't know what to do with it

Find the little "0" spot by the gain control face and stick it there. If that doesn't do it; try turning the gain down.
Since I re set up my brushless G2 it is so smooth it's almost scary. I'm running a 1500 in it and it is the perfect battery for that bird IMHO.
BTW, is the battery compartment any larger on the GX you built?

It's a 1/2" longer but exactly the same width.

Thanks, Ern. Just wondering if/which 1800 might fit into it?

What dimensions do you have to work with, 19K?

1 5/16 H x 1 3/16 W X 3 3/4 long. I could go a bit longer if I modified my canopy or put a 450 canopy on it.

I know you're not an Esky fan, but the LiPo that came with my Belt might work. 11.1v 1800mAh 20C
Dimensions are 1 5/16" W 13/16" H 4" L
You could get this to fit by inserting it sideways.

Thanks sol. I'm used to jamming batteries in anyway they fit and that sounds perfect. Esky's not my favorite brand, but I've never had a problem with the batteries they supply. The ones I got 2 yrs. ago are still doing duty in other copters and planes and the RTF charger I got still works like a charm. ;D
