I'd love nothing more than to beat that dog to death with one of my other dogs but my daughter......oh well.
He's locked up so he don't get mulched ;D

Akent, I thought about editing it out but my son talked me out of it. He said it would be funny. Looking back at it... he was right.
Ernie... very nice man. That thing sounds like a bad a$$. Maybe attach the camera to your hard hat with a strap. Chopper Cam.

Hey Dooz,I have actually considered that.I want to get some sort of "Lipstick Cam" I can put on the heli or on my glasses ear stock. Know of any deals on them?

Nice vid ern. A 450 or 600's no way to learn to fly nose in. Use a HBFP, or something fairly expendable, so you don't puke your guts out every time it crashes. ;D
I also think Akent did a great job controlling his EXI in the video on that breezy day in TX.
Happy landings

Learn nose in with a Coax, then step up to a HBFP. That thing just keeps running.
Ern, You could probably use one of those mini cams you throw in your heli. I'm not real sure on the vid quality. Probably like anything else... the more you spend the better quality you get (not true in all cases, but a good rule of thumb).

Yeah, I agree, if you practice on the sim and a coaxial first that does give you a leg up on the next step. I was commenting on the step into single rotor real world practice.
Happy landings

It'll be a cold day in Heli when I spend money on something with a tail motor ;D No offense guys.I know how y'all love those HBFP's. I just don't get it.Sorry Every heli dime from here on out is to make the Trex 500 faster or better. I'll just use the sim more. It'll all come back to me.I'm not that rusty. It's only been a couple weeks since I picked up where I left off. Thanks for the encouragement ;D

I had my HBFP hanging in a tree the other day.... litterally hanging a a small green branch. Not a thing broke. I put it down and away it flew. I love them because they are tough, easy to repair and break cheap. Sometimes you can catch them on sale for 60 bucks or so (that's a 600 servo). You can fly them into the ground all day, as long as you have a stockpile of the most commonly broken parts. A couple of nose in hovers might cost you a buck fifty instead of five hundred and fifty. Plus you don't have to fly with your kahones up in your throat because you've just dropped a wad on it. The HBFP is almost as expensive a flying a sim.
What sim are you using Ern? I need to find someone with Real Flight so we can fly against each other.

When I go to my LHS, I play with Realflight. It is better in that it supports idle up switches and other minor crap. For flying, I give the nod to clearview, unless you are talking 3d planes. Clearview doesn't have a lot for that. Kent

I really don't know about what transmitters Real Flight supports.
I do agree with Doozer, though! I love my HB! I also had mine stuck about 30 feet up in a tree. I had to end up throwing rocks at it to get it down. It came tumbling down after a direct hit. Nothing broken! I looked it over, set it on it's feet and flew again! Amazing things. Kent

I use FS One. Its pretty good and comes with a 6ch usd controller for $100. The usb controller works well with Clearview and everything works (idle up,etc.,etc,).
Spektrum also make an FS One wireless sim adapter for use with DX6i and DX7 radios. Very cool. Don't have one yet but want one real bad.

I need to look into that sim. If Spektrum supports it, then it must be pretty good. Anyone compared it to Clearview?
