Got up early this morning to feed horses (stupid things try to bite me too) and was pleased to find a rare windless, sunny and warm morning for New England in March. Snow has almost melted so I headed across the road for a fly in the park. Got the little HB zipping round and really starting to get better control of it now. Time for some tricks me thinks ;D (also crashes too I think ). Just charging the batteries and then heading out again and several more times as long as this wind stays away, too much fun!!

Well, now its about 60 degrees up here in Connecticut, big jump from 25 a few days ago!! Been flying my little HB all morning in the park. Just been fly, charge, fly, charge, fly etc. Got some good FF, some good piros, and even some nose in flight. That last one wasn't on purpose but still pulled it off ;D. Only one good nose plough into the ground, total cost was one flybar at $1, love that little heli. Problem now is that its too underpowered. Should have the extreme motor today to try and then see how much more crazy stuff I can do. Only problem there is that more powe =more speed=bigger crash=more broken stuff . Back to some more flying once the batteries are charged...

I'm with you on the spring thing. I'm in Minnesota and we get spring a little later, like in April, so the lakes are still frozen 3 ft thick here.
Still I try to fly helis outside when it hits 20 or so and the fixed wings at about 10. I have skis on my Super Cub so I fly it off the lake by the condo. Very neat. I buzz the ice fishermen. They all come over and ask questions about the plane. I expect to see more of them out next winter with planes right along with their Ice fishing equipment.
Happy landings
