Sorry.I just read the twitchy servo part. That's a bad signal from the RX or a bad servo. Switch the elev and ailer plugs in the RX and see if the problem follows the servo. If so,take it out and stomp it. If the glitch stays at the rear of the swash DX the RX.

A bobbing tail can be a heavy or light tail blade. This is HARD to check.Especially on 450's or smaller. Try a wrap of tape on one tail rotor blade and see if it's worse or better.Adjust accordingly. Some digi scales would be nice.I don't have any but imagine they would help. Hey Mckrackin, my Squadron came with mismatched tail blades that were off by some amount of weight. This didn't create a bob, but DID create SERIOUS high frequency vibrations!! I thought the heli was going to come apart. Kent

Thanks Ernie I have replaced the receiver (6100) with the 7000. That has cleared up my most of glitching but not the tail. I don't know if it's static ot possibly my gyro (futaba 401). It seems worse the more I use it even after a rest. The tail servo is cool to the touch (HD-2216 MG). The tail movement is not gyro gain related because it's not hunting or wagging it's twiching eratically. I am going to look for binding on the tail pitch movement.

Finally found the problem, I think. I noticed the rudder servo did not respond as fast in one direction. It's a new HD 2216 MG but it's pooched. must have been going slowly because it has given me problems for a week now. I suspect the receiver is fine just that this servo probably caused noise interference as it was going. using a hxt 900 with no problems for now will be buying a good rudder servo tomorrow.
Cheers. ===================== Humm...An Hxt900 (aka Towerpro) responds better than the HD2216MG? Please describe the scenario. Kent

OK update. I have a new rudder servo and it works fine next there are two things that were wrong. 1. I didn't realize there was a bend in my tail rotor hub. This caused the slightest bit of binding in the end of travel in one way. I'm pretty sure that this is what burned out my other servo. 2. the most imprtant thing that I noticed but didn't realize the significance to was the flashing light on my receiver. Doh! guess I didn't read my manual good enough. Apparently my built in BEC in the Turnigy ESC is browning out causing lockout and glitching ,I'm sure the extra load on the rudder servo from the binding didn't help. I stopped pitch pumping and took it up slow and it was be fine no lock outs or glitching.
Solution. I am putiing a seperate BEC on it and going to bypass the built in BEC by cutting the red wire, I am told this should work? Any feed back from you guys?
Thanks again.
Trevor.
