I have a Genesis 450 PE and I need to change all three rotor servo. Anyone have a tutorial on how to change and adjust these?

Check out helifreak.com and look at Finless Bobs tech room in the T-Rex 450 workshop. Then click on servo placement and set-up video. The Genesis is pretty much a T-rex knock-off so you should be able to follow along easily with it. You will have to sign up if you haven't already to helifreak but it is free so worth doing. Hope that helps you out.

I'm curious. Why do you need to change them? Isn't that a new heli?

Mc, Trying to aviod answering that,,but being totally new to this game,,I hope you won't call me an idiot, I already done that.
I built a test stand,,just like the one nightflyyer showed how to. I put my new Gensis 450 PE on it just to see if everything worked. I actually hovered it on the stand for about 4 minutes,,it was great. But I just had to know if 'everything' worked on it so put it in rate mode,,,,,,,YOWZER!!! That thing has power!! Well, when it tilted, I over reacted the other way,, I didn't panic because I figured the stand would hold it. I hit the throttle cut but it was too late,,,the heli tipped the whole stand over before I could I could grap it. The rotor was still spinning some when it hit the ground. The only damage was one flybar paddle tweeked, just had to reset it,,,,one tooth on the main gear was missing (new one on the way),,,but all 3 servos seem trasked. Two of them now chatter , the other doesn't respond and all of them have sloppy arms, I assume stripped the internal gears. What do you think?
New rule for newbees: " test stands are for HH and hovering ONLY----no rate speed!"

I don't think that was the rate switch.Rate is for the gyro. I think you hit the idle up switch. This locks the throttle at 95+%. When this switch is on,cutting the throttle only changes the pitch to negative and does nothing to slow the motor. The negative pitch made the rotors push the heli down.Probably why it tipped.
Minus the stand,I've done this myself.Lots of us have. Not an idiot mistake but rather a newbie one. Drive on.You'll get it.

Dont feel bad Elkmaster. Lots of newbies have done stupid things. ;D.........including myself. Im sure there are worse stories out there than that.
I think you are right about the servos.

Yeah,it sounds like they are trashed. That's too bad but, this is part of the fun if you ask me.

Check for Trex 450 servos on ebay.
There are thousands of them.
I recommend Hitec HS65MG

Those are what I'm running on the tail of my Exi 450SE. They work great along with the XM G401B gyro! Rock stable.
I really think these are the same servo that Xheli sells under the Raiden brand. I have some of their DMA016 servos and these are identical looking for fewer bucks. Kent
