I'm out of the build game for a while .... I've got a radio to buy and spare parts to stock up on. My next heli will be flybarless. The Electric Flight Expo convinced me, but the most important thing on the to do list is a JR X9303. Hitech has a new 9 channel coming out that pretty much blows the doors off anything I've seen... but I'm derailing this thread. Kent, I'm not sure why 10 mm at mid stick, or did I miss something? Hey Doozer, I am fascinated by your remarks above! Flybarless??? New build coming?!?!?!? Man, I need to figure out flybar lengths and styles and then you talk about removing them... The 10mm Trex 450 swash (edit) height deal, I found from another forum. The deal is: Set the swash level at 10mm with all swash servos at mid level at mid stick and all of the Trex manual's rod lengths work, and you will not have any binding of the head at the high or low spots. So no need to go through Finless's cumbersome head bind check process. Kent

Thanks for posting all your setup numbers Kent. That'll definitely save me a lot of reading when the time comes.

The swash leveler I use simply inserts under the swash, and it 10mm thick. Guess it shows that's a good method, or they wouldn't bother producing such a tool.
I go to 3D mid-stick, centered servos, use pitch knob to get the swash height, insert tool, use swash knob to lower swash to touch the tool. Adjust linkages to as close to level as possible, then sub-trims to complete.
