this is after a couple of wreaks & rebiulds, and some wind. that back fence creates a turbulance were i was flying. makes it a real bi$ch.
i had to insert music, my camera man was doing some idiot commentary. it's all good though

Pretty cool ferg. I can sympathize with the idiot commentary. What transmitter are you using. It looks like the AR6200 receivers but I can't be sure. If you're using a DX6 or 7 try setting your collective to be a little more "you friendly." It looks like when you reduce power you're getting sucked to the ground. If you set your pitch at low to be a -1 at mid at 0 and high +8 or +9 you'll lose that big fast drop when you cut power just a touch. You may have already done this and I'm just misreading your stick input, if so, disregard my attempt at advice.
It always feels good to watch your heli fly. Nice Job!

thanks alot doozer, i'm using DX6i TX,and you are correct on the RX it's an AR6200. my pitch is at: 0 throttle -10: 50% throttle is at 0, and full throttle is at +10. is this ok? if not what would you recommend? but do keep in mind that fence in the background is where the wind comes from, and it does create turbulance. but i think your right,i have to much neg. pitch.
any idea's?

ok... yeah... you should change that... you should have a normal mode and stunt mode. Your stunt mode will be F1 on your Tx. You'll want to leave that linear. However, normal mode at Low throttle (zero) as a beginner you might want to go with -1 pitch. This is the way I had my normal mode until recently:
0% (-1) 25% (-.5) 50% (0) 75% (+5) 100% (+8)
What this will do is, when you reduce power, it will make your heli descend slower. When you're @ -10 @ zero stick your heli will get sucked to the ground very fast when you drop below mid throttle.
When you get a little better feel for the collective you can spread it out a bit more (-3 to +10). You'll still have your linear pitch curve in stunt mode. So if you get the nerve to invert, just flip the "F Mode" switch.

Great job. Dooz is right on the noob friendly pitch settings. You'll be getting them back to the fast settings soon but for now starting at -1 is a good idea. Again, great hover. Those Lt. Dan Magic Legs will be gone soon too ;D Great song too

Pretty Cool there Fergie. Good job keeping her steady.
I had mine at -8 and did as Doozer suggested. I went to -1 at 0 throttle. It was a whole lot easier bringing it down.

thanx ranben, i have some better video w/better hovers. i've been messin around w/the windows movie maker. inserting music and still being able to here the bird. but youtube dosen't seem to like it. all i can figuer is that it's to big, or the music is copyrighted. but i worked my way back to -8,-5,0,+5,+10 i like having that negative pitch when the wind picks up and tries to carry it away. doing pretty good on the landings now
