"Out of Stock" - How come?

It seems that everywhere I look for RC Helis, tools, chargers, etc., they are "Out Of Stock" on anything I am interested in. Does anyone have an explanation? Has it always been that way? Also, I have only found 3 websites that carry the 2.4Ghz version of the HBFP. Two are out of stock, and Xheli only has the yellow version. There are several that have the 35 & 72 Mhz. versions available however. Surely, there can't be that big an increase in the numbers of people getting into this hobby.

I'm told there is a lag in production to change the inventory for the year and new lines are being released now.
The end of March or beginning of April should show a dramatic increase in stock all across the web.

If you dont like the yellow version you can buy it and buy a white canopy from spare parts section.

I think either KA-planes.com or Banana Hobby.com (one of them) even have red or black canopy's.

I think a lot of it may also have to do with the long cold winters in some places ( like where I live ) . Suppliers probably don't want to order lots of parts that are out of stock and have a lot of money invested in them during the slow season. Now that spring is coming my guess is that they will be restocking their shelves soon.

Yes, the lag is inventory change time and it also coincides with the two weeks china shuts down for their new year celebration.

xheli is already restocking some parts already. They are slowly updating their website. Still waiting for Mike ar UShobbysupply.
I just got some 11.1v LIPOs in. Everyone is slowly getting inventory levels stocked back up.

I was just about to ask the same question. Seems like I have been waiting for metal G2 parts to be restocked forever!
