It's becoming almost irresistable.I have all these parts as spares for my Trex 500. I dumped them out this evening and started putting them together. It looks to me like all I need are servos, blades, tail boom(I have the tail gear)and gyro and this heli will fly ;D ;D ;D I still have the Super Pro rotor head in the bags. This head has some composite pieces like the mixing levers.Actually, the mixing levers are the only non metal pieces. I'm gonna pop on over to helisrtf.com and start a parts list.

I modified a tail gear set-up this morning. I had the composite belt drive tail lieing around. I removed the CNC slide and blade grips from my wrecked tail and replaced the composite pieces with them. Actually came up with a nice looking super smooth tail. I really need that tail boom now. Also need three Hitec HS-82MG Metal Gear Micro Servo,Futaba S9257 EP Heli Digital Rudder Servo ,Futaba GY401 Gyro with SMM Technology and Spektrum AR7000 DSM2 7Ch Receiver. These items are slightly inferiour to Align but really good stuff nonetheless.I'm going to go just a little cheap here. I'll be making the order next week.Maybe Monday. Here's a look at the hybrid tail....

I just sold a Motor/ESC combo on Run Ryder so may be ordering the parts tonight. Just waiting on payment ;D
I'm wondering what I should ask for this heli. Probably price it as RX ready.

Good question. It's a hybrid so it might have some extra interest for some guys. I'd sell it Rx ready.
Happy landings

It's not a true hybrid. All the parts are Align.Even the plastics and other composites. It compares very very closely to the Trex 500 CF version.

In that case you won't need to sell it cheap. Everyone wants a T-Rex at some point and the timings right as spring rolls in. Happy landings

Welp, just ordered the servos for the cyclic.Hitec HS-82MG's.
Also got the Align CF tail boom. Got this stuff from helisrtf.com for $80 shipped.
Then I popped on over to xmseller.com and bought my blades(both main and tail). Got these for $40 shipped.
Hmmmm, getting kinda committed to this build now.

I would think a BNF Trex 500 would go for a fairly high price as they very popular. Might wanna check the classifieds on some of the other forums to see what others are asking. Also could check out some on ebay that have buy-it-now prices on them. This might give you at least a general idea of an asking price. Good luck with the build.
