You ever get a bad feeling about anything???

It's becoming more and more evident that some noobs are becoming more and more demanding and dependent.
Folks like 19,Dooz,Ray and quite a few others work their butts off looking up info on helis they don't have and never will.
I would like to think I'm in their class but I don't think I measure up just yet.

Why do they bother?
I can't say.Why does anyone?
It was cool in the beginning to help while I learned.
Now,people just want instant gratification without putting anything back.
Granted,these cases are few and far between.But every single one is a kick in the junk.
My internet is the same as everyone elses.
People ask the question but don't take the time to read through the answers.They want someone else to do it.Find the right info out of all the junk and GIVE it to them.

I think I might just follow Dooz out the door.
I get what I need by doing the work myself.
I used to get something back by relaying the info back down.
Now it seems I am a bad person for not getting it back down fast enough.Hmmmm.

I am not the only person capable of typing a question into a search engine.

I will read the relavent threads and answer questions I know are hard to find the answers to.

I will quote a friend that will go un-named...

I will go way out of my way to help someone who at least puts forth an effort to help themselves.
Other than that,I'm not really willing to waste any more time here.

I have my own life to worry about.I love my heli but it seems that as of late,I spend way too much time worrying about someone elses.

I'll pop in and out.Mostly for fun.But my digging around on the web for answers anyone can get,,,,well that has to stop.

You know, Ernie, I look at it in a completely different way.

I'll help anyone if I can. I do a lot of reading up on different helis and components simply for the fact I want to know more about them. Even if I never plan on getting the same heli or component.
This is info gathered for myself and if it pertains to a question asked, I don't mind sharing.

Now, if I don't like the attitude of a poster, I'll either ignore him/her or point them in a general direction. This IS the internet. Some people do and say things they wouldn't normally do or say in person. We have no control of that, but it's not something I'm going to lose any sleep over.

Most of the members here are pretty good eggs, IMO. If I can help in some way, I'll do it. God only knows how much info I've gleaned from other's posts, here and in other forums.

I've learned that it's much less stressful to just go with the flow. Now get your butt back here and keep posting as normal. You're an integral part of this forum, whether you think so or not. Your karma attests to that.

I'll be around.I didn't mean I'll stop posting,only that I need to stop treating this like a job.I don't have to research every problem I come across.

I still learn alot here.I don't ask many questions because I don't have to.The question is already asked in most cases.All I need to do is read it.

Most of you guys have helped me tremendously and still do.
Maybe I seem ungrateful.I don't mean to.

i for one i'm glad you'll still be around, i don't know from experience, but i do understand where your coming from. this forum isn't so bad, but the rc disscus forum is getting REALLY bad about that. i've noticed yourself and a few others basically setting up whole helis for people and IMHO i think it's just retarded. i mean where's the satisfaction in that.
please don' get me wrong here i'm really not trying to be an a$$, or sound arrogant.
i know i've been guilty of asking dumb ?s myself. but for the most part i really like to help people when i can.
i really value the information that all of you have to offer,but your right the Internet is the information superhighway and there's a lot of knowledge out there.

You hit the nail on the head.Sometimes I forget the set-up for my heli because I spent too much time on someone elses.

I'm not above sending a poster a response that makes him do some of the work. Give them a place to work from and let them do some of the work. It's better for both of us. IMO you should too. That'll lighten the load for you.

We all spend too much time on these forums, but like you said before "I do it more for me than I do for them".

Seriously, this forum is as varied as the personalities that post here, but like any smaller group, everything is somewhat amplified. I appreciate your work here, Ern. Don't work yourself into a burnout, though. I do that in almost everything I try. Between you, 19k, Akent, Sol, RTF, Raygun, Doozer and a few others that I will remember in a minute, you make the forum.
