There's been an ever increasing number of Spektrum AR6100E's available lately at rock bottom prices. I'm beginning to wonder if some Chinese company isn't cloning these things. Here's the latest offering, shipping included... www.cy-model.com/Radio-System_c67.htmI ordered one just to see if it's the real thing.

I think that is actually below dealer cost. Maybe they got a "Five Finger" discount. ;D It will be interesting to see if it's the real Mcoy.

Well, I ordered it last night and this morning I got a shipped notice, so unless this is a complete fraud, I'll know in about 10 days.

A few sites are posting ridiculous prices to cull CC numbers. Hope yours goes through OK. BTW, I've taken to funding a small debit card for internet purchases to semi protect against someone from slamming it too hard.

Does anyone know where CY-models is located? I have a reason for asking.

I've bought stuff before from CY-Model without any problems, but I think the original owner has sold the name to another individual. The original had a fair number of items for sale, the new one doesn't...yet.
The original was in China. No clue where the new one resides.

OK, an update on these cheapie Spektrum Rx's. I had ordered an AR6100E from TargetHobby a week before CY-Model. $28 plus shipping for the TargetHobby one (I see they are even cheaper now) and $26 including shipping for the CY-Model one. Both have arrived and came in identical packaging, so either Spektrum is cutting back or these are clones. Attachments:

I did some testing and can't find any anomolies. This is a side-by-side with the authentic Spektrum on the right. Attachments:

The only thing I didn't test is the range, but all ports seem to be working fine. Attachments:

The 6100 is, more or less, discontinued in favor of the 6110. Maybe they bought up a bunch of them and are getting around the MAP pricing by selling them out of the packaging. Just a thought. Anyway it looks like you've gotten a couple of great deals.

Yep, can't see any problem with these. I don't know how many I've bought at the $49 mark over the years. CY has put his price up to $29 shipped, so the best deal at the moment is TargetHobby at $21.99 plus $5.75 shipping (to Canada). For those concerned about long shipping times from China, TargetHobby took 8 days to get here...CY took 10 days. YMMV

Yep, they've been discontinued so MAP pricing doesn't apply anymore. Sellers can put any pricing on the 6100's they want and not lose their status with HH.
