I worked on a very expensive RV today. A Country Coach on a Prevost chassis, decked out to the extreme. Over 1 million for this thing. I can't believe people pay that for something with 8 wheels.
Anyway, this thing has marble throughout, mirrored celling and a Carbon Fiber steering wheel. Also, it has carbon fiber hand rails and a few other CF accent pieces.
I have never notices so much CF being used before. Maybe I just wasn't that observant before getting into the heli world.

BTW what did you do to it? I'll try to get some pics. We get celeb coaches in all the time. This is a private owner. Too much disposable income. I usually do transmission electronics work. I'm doing the grunt work on this one because we are slow. I'm pulling the transmission out of it.

Yep, sorry BT. Hijacked again The thing is with those big coaches, the owners don't really camp in 'em. More for show than anything.

Yep, sorry BT. Hijacked again The thing is with those big coaches, the owners don't really camp in 'em. More for show than anything. This is a bar, Sol. Anything goes. Not a hi jack. Yes, I have talked to some of the owners and some of the drivers. Some of the people sell their houses and live in the coach traveling the country. Some let it sit in storage for 11 months out of the year and go on one road trip occasionally. Then there are the ones who actually hire drivers to drive their coaches across the country, set it up for them in the RV park of choice (High end RV parks, the likes of which most of us will never get in the gate of). Then the owner FLYS in and stays in his coach. Go figure. I think the price tag is really ridicoulous, but there are a lot of them out there. A lot of them look pretty equal on the outside, but the bling on the inside will make the differance between a 600K and a 1.5 mil coach. BTW, pulling the trans out isn't too bad. It is relatively brainless compared to other problems. So I can flex my muscles and curse instead of straining my eyes and brain trying to figure out wire numbers and what electrons are doing in their spare time Dam homotrons always going around blowing fuses aren't nearly as troublesome as the differant systems using the data link as their own personal gossip circle ;D;D

It got really popular with the tuner car craze. You can even get carbon fiber in motorcycle racing gear.

Until I got into this hobby, I probably would not have distinguished CF accents from fiberglass. Looks nice, though.
