Akent, I am beginning to believe you are right about Exceed stuff. First my programming card and ESC smoked. Then I find this on my motor wire on the Alpha 400. The wire is tinned, and the socket is filled with solder, but it looks like they were only touching. I ran this motor up a couple of times for the heluvit before it went dead. Looks like they need a Chinese interpretation of the Finless soldering videos ;D

Wow BT! It's sure a good thing you found that now!!!
Yep, I'm pretty sure everything that Exceed sells is rebranded from someone else. I think some of the stuff they sell are seconds, but that could have just been Xheli selling returned stuff.
I have two Alpha 400 3500kv motors. One has WAY more power than the other!! It also has a lot more "compression". I now also have three Volcano ESC's. One of them runs way hotter than the others.
It's just inconsistent crap that I have gotten from them. Kent

I think you are correct on the xheli thing I have received parts that where obviously used I think my heli was a bunch of retured parts put together. On the alpha motor that was slower than the other was it the motor or the esc they sold you that made it slower?? Ray

It is the motor itself. I tried it on two ESC's. The magnets are a LOT stronger on the more powerful one. Kent

I wonder if that was a returned motor as well if you overheat the motors the magnets loose half there strength and it doesnt take very much heat.. Ray

I can understand what you're saying. A magnet lasts about 70 or 80 years unless outside forces act against it.Heat being the worst of the culprits. Xheli selling returned merchandise? I am ABSOLUTELY AND BEYOND ANY DOUBT sure that I was sold used and wrecked parts as "New". Who is buying from Walkera? They shut me off a year ago. Kim Xiau worked with me for a long time but insisted I make bigger orders to continue. Nope.Align seems to want my money and always go out of their way to get it. I am happy to oblidge. Sorry if I spelled that wrong.Don't think I have ever used the word before or even read it in a sentence.

I had the same problems with Exceed Brushless motors also.
I guess bottomline, always check your stuff after getting your items in the mail. Quality is clearly lacking and returning items for a replacement is a pain.

I've gotten used Exceed stuff too. A G2SE. Have not had any other problems with other "new" stuff, but the Alpha 400 I bought is going bad.
I think Xheli is sending out a lot of used stuff.
As Ray said; Exceed is a rebranded Walkera.
Happy landings

If you go to Strong RC Motors you can buy the replacement magnets for your outrunner brushless motors. And Ernie is right heat is your worse enemy the only other thing that can do it is very hard impact but since the magnets they use in the motors are rare earth neodymiums they would shatter...Ray

Exceed has always been re-branded Walkera. My Falcon40 is a Walkera dragonfly 4 for example. I've read it on many forums that both are made in the same factory. Just differing colors and stickers. The main difference is Exceed seems to not have the re-branded version until Walkera has worked out most of the bugs. Now I'd take this with a grain of salt, But... Both make good products with lousy quality control, warranties and seriously flawed new models. That being said, Always check solder joints and connectors before using either brand. AND wait until the new models have been tested by the "beta testers"(Us), and the second version is released. Like the 60=60B, 4#3=4#3A/B, 4G3 = 4G3 V2,.. ;D
If you buy it from X-heli? Good luck. They are trying, I give them that. However I read it my first day of the forums(RCDiscuss). X-heli sells RMAs as new. It is nothing new. I even semi understand why they are doing it. They except returns and give refunds. The Manufacturers DO NOT! So X-heli gets stuck with a lot of broken helis. Kinda makes since they would try to "re-build" from the varying wreckage they receive as "Faulty manufacturing". I've read stories where people bought a "new" heli. It shows up broken and they get a "replacment" shipped. Just to have an empty box show up AS the replacment. X-heli did fix this one, But still!!
I should also add that although I do not yet own any other brand then Exceed and Walkera. I have read similar stories about quality on E-flight and E-ski helis. Some of which the parts cost more then the Walkera stuff. I can buy the E-sky and E-flight stuff locally but the cost is WAY higher. So I've been sticking with Walkera/Exceed. But I do not buy X-heli anymore.
