I have concidered the Thunder Tiger 50, and when i go into the 500-600 range, price wont be a top concern, Im single no kids and work 12 hours a day 6 days a week (no over time tho ) so when i finally go that route im expecting on investing near a grand. infact ill probably get a kit so i can build it all from the ground up myself. I was just curious about the Trex in general, if there are other models nearly as good then ill go a bit cheaper. no reason to spend 500 on something that i can get at the same quality for 200. i know when i finally get into that stage, ill probably get a nice scale fuselage of a UH60 to put on it

I've been reading alot these past couple of days and I am absolutely enthralled with the new JR Vibe 500e.
I may have to consider selling my Rex to finance one.

My vote is for Trex......price and quality go had and hand. There's nothing wrong with getting a clone however.....just keep in mind you will start to replace and upgrade to Align. Read some of the posts almost everyone does. Ask your why this happens. Most guys want to save a buck up front,I know I did, but you're not saving a buck you're putting off spending the money u need to spend to build a quality heli.....and if you stay in the hobby u will want to build a quality heli. Most of us have beater helis but they don't fly like a Trex! Food for thought have a spare heli to fly and build it with good parts u will need and or want to fly it when the other is grounded!
Just my two cents.

I was driving through a nearby neighborhood a couple of days ago, and saw someone flying an RC Heli over the street, and so I stopped to say "Hello". It was a Trex 250 that the guy got a couple of weeks ago and it really made my heart go pitty-pat! WOW! That thing was class through & through. There was no vibration whatsoever, as he flew it. If you can get to hold one and examine it, you will be quite impressed. I'm not ready for 6 ch yet, but maybe someday......

Align,JR,Hirobo and others like Gaui are pretty awesome on the quality and precision side of the coin.

I'd love either a Gaui or Trex 250. I think the quality is about on par. Gaui might cost a bit less. They offer it in both belt and torque tube versionss.

I'd go for it 19. Go belt btw.TT is awesome but not needed in the smaller birds. I mean, how often will you be doing autos with a little heli? Then again,TT does give more battery so maybe it's worth it.
Hmmmm,just so torn.lol...
