the other day was playing with the eagle 50 doing good hovering it around little bit when she got away from me busted the blades dangit so went down to the lhs and picked up a set of e-flite blades same length so today i stick them on when i noticed that they were flat bottomed blade's thinking about just hovering i dicided that they would work for hovering the heli so i turned on the tx then turned on the rx then i got brave and gave her some throttle it started to spin up then it quit so pulled the throttle back scrached the old noggin and dicided to try again it was a no go affair so went over and picked the copter up and and found that the motor wires were really hot the battery was really hot I think the flat bottomed blades were too much lift for the heli causing too much current draw so i think the rx is toast now anybody know where to send them in for repare just curiouse so am thinking about having a new paper weight in the office ;D

It sounds like the Rx is toast. With the Exceed Eagel 50/ Walkera #22E 6-channel CP Heli, if you are using carbon brushed motors for the main and tail motor, you should always have fast blow ATO mini blade fuses installed. You should have a 10 amp fuse installed for the main motor and a 3 amp for the tail motor. Goto: www.rtf-heli.com/Falcon40fusemod.html for more info and pricing. If you do get a new Rx, consider going brushless on the main motor. (http://www.rtf-heli.com/Walkera22e.html) If you do the conversion, you will NOT need a fuse mod for the main motor as the ESC will govern the brushless motor and the ESC will protect the Rx. However, you will still need a fuse mod for the tail section which is still a carbon brushed motor.

Say RtF I checked the rx with a volt meter and I am getting voltage to the motor but the motor is not spinning so I think that i fried the motor hope that is all i did but am waiting for my spring money to come in and when it does will be buying the brushless mod u have for these heli's have to watch the money flow chart cause seven helis can get exspensive to feed in parts thankyou for your reply.

Thanks. The brushless motor mod works well. I'm getting some lift problems as I added the super skids 400 and adapter 22. This adds a good amount of weight with the blue CNC Metal parts. So, I'm going to remove the super skids and stick with the stock and keep the CNC Metal parts and carbon fiber blades. That should help tremendously.
