I have just been out flying my T-rex 450 on this glorious day in Connecticut! This is the hottest it has been here all year so far, 82 degrees, and so the hottest temp I have flown my T-rex at. After a 9 min flight I just did with my 2100MAh 20C align battery, the motor and ESC were pretty hot to the touch. Not so hot I couldn't hold my fingers on but definitely hotter than they have ever been. The battery though was just warm to the touch, and also the ESC has cooling fins on top, and they were the hot part. My ESC is an ESC/BEC 35A combo with the Align 430X brushless outrunner motor that came with the kit. I'm gonna assume here that its because of the temp outside and this is just a new thing as I only got it in February. The ESC should be enough for this motor I would have thought Any thoughts or advice appreciated. Gonna make sure it cools down before my next flight for sure.

Sounds like a perfect combo. If you can hold the ESC, motor and battery with your hands it's not that hot. If you were over flying the battery, had a bad ESC or motor it would get real hot. You're good to go.
Enjoy that nice spring weather! The midwest is sending you some cold and rain. Not on purpose; we can't help it...It comes down from Canada...We have to send it somewhere. ;D
Happy landings
