not to take anything away from you ray, but I just saw something similar in an RC mag. its used on planes and called a turnbuckle link. it look almost the same. not sure how it works tho.

The idea is not new I use to fly aircraft we had them too and I saw these in use in a machine shop I worked in most of my life but the ones on an airplane are to big and there is only one kind offered for one heli that I have seen, I can make them for just about any. Ray

Hey Ray,will the finish products have some type of hex or square turn point?
I have been asked about links for a Trex 700 and a Raptor 50. Also a Vibe 50.

I have been trying to find some small hex material without to much success as for protection I went through the patent process a couple of times because of the NAFTA free trade agreement America is pretty well screwed your better off to produce it rapidly and cheaply as you can and make it reasonable enough it wont be worth there time.. I tried pretty hard today ;D
Got about ten packs worth of pretty decent stick banging today All I got done today was charge,swap,fly,repeat.lol...
The links are holding their length really well and my tracking has never looked better.
Good stuff.
