Im so stoked, yesterday, I took my G2 out after the rebuild. I flew it till the battery died, without crashing. (knock Knock). Had a 3' hover going, it drifted away and I brought it back in the air. I will say this heli is very, very touchy. So any beginners or FP heli owners reading this.... The G2 is very responsive, the smallest input on the controls make the heli move. Unlike my FP, that require a lot more input. I also noticed it is easier to hover this heli, due to the faster head speed. Now I need more batteries.... Any suggestions on what kind of heat sinks will fit the stock brushed motor? It was hot and I dont want to burn it out just yet.

Don't worry about protecting that brushed motor.I'm not even sure if you can.
Just replace it with a brushless motor and ESC when it conks.

I would also suggest not running the battery until it dies every time as this will shorten the life of it. Try experimenting a bit until you get a time where the power only just starts to go down, then take a bit of time off that so as not to discharge it too far. I agree with MC about the brushless thing too, worth doing in the long run.

Good going!
Not over taxing the motor is the best thing to extend the life as kiwi says. As the battery goes down rpm decreases and the atltitude can only be maintained by adding more throttle that also adds pitch that further strains the motor and over heats the battery too. Not good. Land it as soon as the performance drops off.
Almost any 370 size heat sink will work. Remove the wrapping around the motor (under the label) which is a fau heat sink, but it also blocks some cooling vents.
In the end, as ern suggests, brushless is the way to go. You will not believe how it transforms that little bird.
Happy landings
