Today was pretty windless in the morning so got out the HB for a quick burst round the backyard. Got it spun up and hovering, then transitioned to some figure 8's and FF. I gotta say that it was a lot harder to keep that little sucker in the air and straight than my T-rex is!! I haven't been flying the HB much on account of my skills getting good enough now to fly the T-rex in FF and banking turns. The extra power and the gyro sure do make a difference in keeping the heli in the air and orientated. I ploughed the HB into the ground several times due to loss of orientation then gave up. Only broke a rotor head with 4 crashes though, and thats why I still love the little HB ;D
So for all you people flying HB's or Falcons or similar FP's, I say make the move to a 6CH with a gyro if you can fly the FP with some profficieny, and your skills will improve greatly, it worked wonders for me. Only crashed the Rex twice, total damage was a tail boom at $3.50 and a couple Towerpro servos at $4.99 each. Well worth it!!

I second that! I haven't crashed the EXI yet. I am still mainly hovering. Doing some full power climbs, banking and a little bit of side in. All the rest is tail in. It is much easier than the HBFP, even with a cheapo gyro.

3x on that. I think its due to the faster head speed. Thats just from what I read.

Many pilots wonder about their flying skills until they move up to CP. Even 400's much less 450's. The bigger they are the better they fly. ;D
Happy landings
