Just pulled the trigger on this bad boy, pretty sweet kit for the price really, and free shipping makes it even sweeter!! They seem to have plenty of em so pick one up for those looking for a decent cheap kit, beats the hell outta the HK heli thats for sure! www.snhobbies.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_38&products_id=460After watching Trevors vid with his flasher I couldn't resist getting this. This one is the lower down version of Trevors but still has a mostly metal tail and head and has gotten great reviews. I am going to put some decent servos in it and use it as my 3D practice heli so I don't wreck my more expensive T-rex 450! Everything is completely compatible too with the T-rex apparently so will be nice to have a whole other kit to raid parts off if I need too ;D Will be posting this build up as I do it too for those interested. Stay tuned... Also just bought some superskids for my HB and will be rebuilding it with stock frame, extreme 380 motor and DD tail. Crashed and pretty much destroyed the Guru-Z frame over the last couple months. Getting back into the building craze again, hope the wife doesn't get annoyed... Just realised I have 3 packages coming within the next week now, will be like xmas in May ;D

Looks nice.I still have the HK 450.I been thinking about getting a new tail for it and flying it.As it sits,I would trust it more than a few feet in the air with the training wheels on it. Then again,I could crash it and total every piece and be out maybe a hundred bucks.Servos were $3 each.Motor $12.ESC $12.It does have an Align gyro,a Spektrum RX and a Hitec tail servo but all that stuff usually survives anyway.lol...

Yeah I might try to put some better stuff in this heli to make sure it can do some 3D. I was thinking about getting the CNC tail for $20 off Deal Extreme at some stage too. This heli looks like it should be able to do some good 3D as long as the rest of the parts can handle it. I will put an AR6100e in it I think, that should be ok I imagine?? What is the downside to this compared to the 6200? I have servos to put in it, just need motor, esc, gyro and tail servo, and a rx. Should be a fun build and when I break stuff it won't cost so much and parts are everywhere!!

I've never tried the 6200.My HK has a 6100e.I used the 6100e on a G2 also.I also had it on the 3DX and a Trex 450 so it has worked on several swash types. Works for me and for cheap.lol...

Hey Kiwi good on ya, good luck hope your service will be as outstanding from them as mine was and still is. I have been thinking the same as you with regard to a cheaper flyer. I bought a 401 clone gyro from deal xtream on line for around $25 USD. Heard it works well so I am going to build one up eventually hopefully before I total the one I have LOL. Anyways when you get it in the air let us know how well it works.
Cheers.

Just got the Flasher kit in the mail today, everything looks really good so far. Taking some pics and checking over everything. The frame and canopy even come in a nice little soft bag to prevent damage, and the frame was also wrapped in bubble-wrap and overall packaging was really good. The frame is a fiber type and seems really strong with a little flexibility in it too, should be hard to break. This kit really is an exact T-rex clone down to the last detail, obviously not the same quality, but with a mostly metal head and the addition of some decent components, this heli should make a great practice machine with a cheaper fixing cost. Probably won't get the parts for it until next month as I have a big trip away planned in a couple weeks so saving money for that. Will post it up in builds when I do the frame, then add to the post later when I have the parts. Took a week from Canada with free shipping via FedEx from SN Hobbies, great prices and service from them too. Anyway, stay tuned in the next few weeks and I will start the build.

Thats what I was looking for. Thanks Kiwi, great find. The head and T/R along w/simplicity make it a well worth trigger pull. I have been looking at the HK, but just haven't been able to convince myself to get it. This looks like a much better design. Bee
