Isn't it great when you finally get to the point of being able to catch and devert a catastrophy ;D I've been doing presice hovering...the box, piro's usually 90 degrees at a time. And I even get some altitude. Whitey, sounds like I said before....I've got some catching up to do. Good flyin

Stick time ::)lol.... The weather is so beautiful here that my thumbs are actually sore.Seriously.Right at the point of blistering.Yesterday I taped my left thumb because it really hurt.I'm going to pick up some tight fitting gloves today.lol...That's awful from a construction worker huh....
I've been flying more than ten batteries an evening lately.
Keep on practicing mightyxxwhitey,everybody....there comes a time when you just won't be able to stop. It's an addiction ;D

I've been trying the thumbs compared to the finger hold lately and found that the finger hold is really more precise, at least for me anyway. Even though I use a Playstation 3 controller with my thumbs I still find it easier with the finger and thumb grip for heli flying, just gives me finer control. Good work with the piro, now try to get 4-5 in a row as the next challenge!!

I was watching a Nightflyyer YouTube the other day and noticed he used thumb and finger grip on one side and just thumb on the other. Can't remember which side was which. I think it was throttle/tail with the thumb and finger and just thumb on elevator aileron.

Great job whitey. keep it up! I was watching a Nightflyer YouTube the other day and noticed he used thumb and finger grip on one side and just thumb on the other. Can remember which side was which. I think it was throttle/tail with the thumb and finger and just thumb on elevator aileron. I just noticed that on one of his videos too BT. I use thumbs only, the other way is uncomfortable to me. Plus, the way I hold my Tx I can reach both the idleup switch and the throttle hold switch with out moving my hands. I actually fly with my index fingers on these switches. I have also been using a neck strap lately...kinda like it.

I use a neck strap to carry my stuff out of the house but don't let it support the TX while flying.

The strap seems to help me not use so much "body english" which I used to do really bad when I first started.

Can we get a video of the Piro ? Sorry. I do have a small video camera that I use for my motorcycle and jeep, but cant figure out how to mount it on the heli. Its a go pro Hero....... Oh Did 3 piros in a row one way. Well..... gave it about 2 sec pause in between each piro. A wind gust cam along and almost had a nose dive like that heli pic. Pulled back hard and a quick throttle burst and hit hard on the training gears... dodged a bullet...
