I was trying out my Flasher yesterday and the junky plastic tail flew apart and made the heli come down fast! Anyway, the canopy wasn't on and the battery jumped up and got hit by the blades! It has a dent on one edge now, but it is still intact and doesn't appear to have bust open. I used it again for a few minutes and it was fine on the heli. My question is, would there be any problems to keep charging and using it or is it dangerous to do it? Anyone out there using a battery after doing the same thing?? Thanks.

should be ok as long as voltages are still good. after that happened to mine i charged it outside in a controlled environment. you really want to keep a close eye on it. make sure it dosen't puff on you, or heat up. i would babysit that thing. then if everything seems ok voltage wise, no puff, or heat up u should be good to go. my lipo had mutiple blade hits on it FYI. and i use the crap out of it after that

Thanks fergie, will watch it closely and hope it all goes well. Might do it outside on the pavement with a long extension cord when the weather is good again to be safe. Will let you know how it works out, hopefully not from hospital!!

when i dented mine it seemed ok charged it and it worked then all of a sudden it didnt work anymore and i looked at it and it was all swollen where the dent was I think it takes a little time for them to realize that they are broken but it took like two charges to find out so if you reuse it keep close eye on it just my two cents

Thanks Phill, will do. Its an Align pack so hopefully the quality of it will mean it does ok, but thats not always the case I guess. What kind was the one that stopped working on you? While I'm thinking of it, the $29 11.1v 2200MAh blue batteries from Hobbypartz are a good buy. I get a solid 10 mins of flight on my T-rex and used it about 20 times so far and still going strong with even voltage. Will have to get more in the future I think.

it was an exceed 11.1 v 800 mah 10c that came with the eagle 50 they have metal copper plates in them and when you bend them they can be damaged sometimes can take a little while to show up

Well I charged the battery outside underneath a ceramic plant pot just to be safe. Stayed completely cool, no puffing, and voltage is even so no damage done. I had an exceed 900Mah battery on the Eagle 50 that I had and it just started to leak for no reason, just cheap and nasty batteries I think. Anyway, I will keep an eye on it for the next few charges to make sure its ok to be safe. And MC, it was an Align battery 2100MAh 20C 11.1v.
