I got 3 packs in a row in. Most I have done on the EXI. It was also the first time I took the EXI out to the park where there was plenty of open space so I didn’t have to worry about dogs, trees and kids. I still suck at this and I have a bad case of PTC (Post traumatic Crash Syndrome) at the moment. So it was mostly hover and slow forward flight.
Wind was all over the place coming from any one of three directions and up to around 15mph according to the weatherman, but most of the gusts came with a little warning. Made me all kinds of nervous, but the heli did fine. I almost let the wind get it once. It tossed it sideways when I was only about 4 feet up. PTC syndrome took over when I saw the blades heading toward the ground and the dollar signs flash before my eyes. I hit the throttle hard and next thing I know it is 30 feet up and level again. I honestly think my gut instinct flies better than I do. That’s probably true with most people.
That cheapo xmhobbies gyro did great in the wind (for the price, of course). The tail stayed relatively steady thoughout. I have the gyro gain on my Futaba running between 15 and 20 percent and added a slight bit of delay on the gyro pot. A little more head speed helps too.
I have 3 packs now. One Hyperion 2200 and two Zippy 2200s. I ran 6 minutes on each and checked the voltage when I got home. All of them were around 11.5v. I could have gotten at least another minute or two out of them.
Charger is going full blast, so I can probably try again this evening if the wind will let me. Dam, this is fun!

I don't think I like you anymore... ;D ;D
Its been raining here for about four days now and, if its not raining the wind is howling like a banshee.
Hovering in my shop is getting a little tiresome.....

Lost it on the fourth one and landed hard. No damage. Not enough to go on the crash count, but still the neighbors heard "Dam, Tony!" I still remember who to blame ;D Let's go over to Fergie's thread and hate him for catching those fish ;D

Two more packs today. Would have done all three and then maybe another one later, but my Lipo on my TX took a sudden voltage dive and my NiCd backup was drained down for storage. O well. I'll charge the NiCd all night and hope for another good day tomorrow.
BTW, got higher and further than I have ever gotten today. Glad I was close when the TX dropped from 10+ volts to 8.5 inside of 30 seconds (bad cell)
