I'm only surmising about your charger, as I don't have that exact model, but I'm sure it runs similarly to my Accucel6 There's a night and day difference between the stock Esky charger and yours. The Esky charger only put out .8 amps, where yours can do up to 5 and it's selectable. The balancing on your charger should do a good job of it, where the Esky basically flipflops the charge from one cell to the other until one gets to 4.2v. Yours will charge high at first and then drop the charging rate until the battery is completely charged and balanced. You may want to check the charging rate on yours with that 1800mAh battery as 38 minutes sounds quite fast. You should be charging at 1C per amp hour, or 1.8A on a 1800 mAh LiPo. You could probably do 2A to start without any problems. I've never had a battery get even warm with this charger and I sometimes cheat a bit with higher-than-recommended charge rates. You really don't appreciate the difference between the two types of chargers until you've tried 'em. I got mine last fall and the Esky stockers have stayed in the bottom of a box somewhere never to see daylight again.

Excellent I had it on three amps so that is too much i will slow it down to 1.8 or 2 amps thank you . yep there is nothing even being considered being close about this charger to the Esky chargers shouldn't even use them in the same sentence . but i do like the new charger. I watched it balance the battery today and was really impressed with that watching it on the computer thank you again

I think all stock chargers are garbage. They just get the job done. I got a T6 and love it. 4 hours on stock to just over 1 hour with the T6...

well Sol i did charge a pack after running it ? I turned the amps down to 1.8 like you said and it took 26 minutes to charge the pack back up I kinda thought it would take longer am I still missing something here I flew the pack for 8 minutes in my mind it should have taken longer and when put the volt meter on the pack it was 12.6 volts

Phil
Check the display while you're charging. If your charger is like most, there will be an advancing number in the lower right. This is what you're putting back into the LiPo in mAh as you charge it. So, you can take this number to figure out how much you actually had left in it before charging.
I'm thinking you could more flight time out of that LiPo. Just remember not to use up more than 80% of capacity.
Everything looks kosher to me.
