I don't know whats happening but today i plugged battery into the heli first the radio turn on then plug in the heli get three beeps and wait for gyro to go solid and it doesn't it goes to blinking slowly ? and if you start up heli it is uncontrolable. Would this be a esc problem or a cheap gyro problem this is my belt cp still has stock gyro in it too

My gyro will do that if it doesn't have any signal. Obviously it is powering up, so some of the wiring is fine. Does it respond to stick at all?

it will respond if i give it full stick but it is basically in self destruck mode its not in the lest bit flyable and yes i did poke and prod the wiring wiggle here and there still nuthing I think the slow flashing is a clue but dont know what it means went down to local lhs and they didnt know either so asked them about a 40 amp esc to put in and was promtly told didnt need one that size but the esc they had didnt even have a heat sink with it so didnt get it plus this thing came in a hundred peaces that i had to solder together is this normal? geez hate it when things go sour.

My cheapo instructions say it blinks slowly when it doesn't have input from the RX. But if it responds to stick input?? Makes me wonder about the RX or the gyro itself. I wouldn't think the ESC would do that. Do you have another gyro you can try?

well ok then i put a new servo on the gyro nope no diference so put the servo in the rx itself and it works then put original servo in rx and it works put both servos in gyro ( one at a time ) and neither one works . I think i see a new hh lock gyro in my immediate future . unless some else knows better than me on this issue has something else to check am open to it all.

Phil, did you change out the stock ESC on the Belt yet? This may not have anything to do with your problem, but the EK1-0350 Esky ESC has been known to burn up.
I changed mine out to a HW Pentium 30A just to be safe.

Got a gyro store around the corner ?

i did change it out back in November actually xheli did when i tail issues back then and that cured the problem then but since i got the new charger been putting around 6 battery packs daily so i think the esky gyro just gave up looked at new esc today but it had to be put together and it didn't have a heat sink on it didn't know if it would work was leary without heat sink was a 40 amp esc lot of amps without heat sink i think. I know will not use that much but you never know

Well, it does sound like the gyro after the tests you've done. You should consider the G401B from Deal Extreme if you don't mind the wait.
CNCHelicopter has the same one for a bit more and RC Supersales have the GY48V for a bit more again, if you need something shipped quicker. Both will be far better than the Esky.
Can supply links if you need.
