I was looking around online for something to possibly replace the Black Hawk heli that is still giving me issues from xheli and I will be returning tomorrow most likely. Anyway, I have heard mixed things about Banana Hobby but some stuff doesn't look too bad. The link below is to a carbon edition Art Tech heli that seems good on paper but not entirely sold. What do you all out there think about it? Opinions?? Worth the money or can I get something better elsewhere for less or similar money? Thanks. www.bananahobby.com/1530.html

I think you should just build one yourself, any RTF kit you get will have problems of some kind, and eventually you will end up replacing everything on one anyways. Even though you are frustrated with xheli, maybe pick up the EXI 450 kit for $90 and get the rest of the parts elsewhere. The EXI kit is the cheapest/best kit for the money. The reason I suggest the EXI is because its a T-Rex 450 SE V2 clone and that means you can get parts almost anywhere, almost every hobby shop that sells helis sell T-Rex's and parts. I can now go to my local hobby shop to get parts for mine, I just don't tell him its really an EXI, he's a T-Rex fanboy and thinks anything else is junk , haha, those T-rex's are 3 times as much $ and as far as my skills are concerned don't fly any better ;D

I second that! If you build up a Trex 450 clone, then you will know it well. You'll need to know how to rebuild one anyway after a big crash.
Plus, Nuttcaze's videos, Finless Bob's videos are there for detailed setup. You can also get the Trex manuals online that would also apply.
I had a blast building up an Exi Squadron, and I'm building up #2, which is the Exi T-450 CF. It's a real beauty!
If you want to build up a super cheap Trex 450 clone, check out the thread over on the build/mod section. Solitaire and I have shared some input to build one up for $144 (less radio). Granted it's low end and doesn't have a CNC head or tail, but it is Trex compatible, so you could easily upgrade those parts later.
If you get a real radio (DX6i) or similar, it will be a radio that will last you a LONG time. It will support 8 models. The setup ability of these far exceeds the ones they sell with the RTF's.
Best, Kent

TREX clones are the way to go.I second the second.Motion carried.lol.
Anywho, every time you change a head part or tail part you can replace it with real Align parts. After just a few incidents,BAM,you have an Align TREX 450 on your hands.
And a DX7 tx supports 20 models.I'm only getting one because it was offered at a killer price with my TREX 500.
