Years ago when I was flying 1/4 scale they where doing something like that across the mexican border these large 1/4 scale airplanes would carry about 20 lbs over there own weight the AM futaba radios could carry the signal further than you could see the plane. So they filled the plane full of drugs and have someone one on both sides of the border with the same freq. The border patrol caught on and where shooting them down from the ground and even tried arming ultralight aircraft and shooting them in the air. Ray
