XHELI TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
« on: February 08, 2009, 07:37:14 PM »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The purpose of this forum, as I understand it, is to provide a service to your customers and potential customers and to do it by using the experience of third parties. The exception would be the occasional xheli employee helping with shipping, orders, tech advise, etc.
One of the driving points of a forum like this is it helps keep interest alive and keep the conversation going. I know that I personally decided to purchase from Xheli because I was continually at your forum and appreciated your sponsorship. I wanted to show my appreciation by giving you my business. I am sure this forum, although containing the occasional criticism and the reference to competitors, has done more to drive your business than you realize. Remember the old Miracle on 64th Street movie when Santa Clause refers to the competitor. People respect that. By removing these competitors’ references, it almost smells like you are intimidate or you don’t feel the need to compete in an open market.
Therefore, it seems extremely counterproductive on your part to anger the core members by useless acts. Watch your sales. See if they go up because you removed references to competitors. Watch and see if they go up because you strip references to shipping codes (Just change to code, for goodness sake). Watch and see the forum dwindles as your volunteer pros who continually dish out free advice go elsewhere (and the rest of us will follow. The dialog is the reason we are here in the first place). See if they go up because you ignore legitimate, though maybe not always diplomatic criticisms. Seems to me that a lot of customer service issues have been around for a long time and do not seem to be being resolved. Isolating and controlling information flow will do more damage than good and will cause people like me to go elsewhere. Why? Because it is a very loud voice saying “We have no intuition of addressing our issues!” Believe me, the criticism will be much louder in a forum you don’t control.
For the purpose of argument, if it is not your intention to isolate, edit, censor, delete or move posts and references, please have the courtesy to post a message telling us your reasoning. We may not agree with it, but we would certainly respect that a lot more that what seems to be happening now.
I will be watching to see how long this post stays up and if it gets answered. I know my future business hinges on it.

I'm with you BT and have already considered and recommended going elsewhere.
I am curious to see how this thread plays out.
I'll stay around at least long enough to see.

Attaboy Bill
XHEli uses the forums as their "support" group. No reason to antagonize the members...the ones that offer the actual support.
serialgrillers...would you explain your post further?

Not sure Solitaire, but I think RTFHeli had a post with a link to his web site (sales) that has been removed.

I had a rather large thread removed about modifying the Honey Bee Fixed Pitch. I bought my origninal HBFP with Xheli and was promoting it through modding. Xheli does not carry mods for this heli, nor do they always carry the spare parts. Soitaire and I put a lot of effort into this thread. Luckily I had a chance to move most of it before you deleted it. I've been fairly loyal and kept my mouth shut, and even stuck up for xheli on numerous occasions. I've tried to be helpful. After this post, I'll be helpful somewhere else. You (xheli) promote this forum as if it is your experts that help people. It's been a long time since I've seen a xheli expert actually give any advice. The most I've seen is a "Staff" post about new helis, for which, you will soon be out of parts. I've never had an issue with your service, so I can't speak to that, but deleting my post, my time, my hard work, without so much as a warning was like a huge middle finger from your web staff.

BTCAT, our company appreciates your concern regarding this. As you know, we have been very lenient at what some of the members were posting over the year. However, things really got out of hand when a small number of members started abusing the system. It has left us with no choice. Put yourself in a position like us.
If you run a business that sells computer, would you allow someone or a direct competitor (who could be a spy) to sit inside your office or near the entrance and keep on redirecting your customers to shop elsewhere? So bottomline, this is within our fair interest of protecting the business and our valued customers.
And XHeli.com is guaranteed to match anyone's price + service. We are also committed to resolving 100% of every issue that we face everyday.
Thank you for all your loyal support. Anytime you guys need service, we'll be here to help.
